If you have read thread in the Spygate:Origins series, then you’re aware that Micheal Ledeen doesn’t like the CIA and the CIA doesn’t like him.
That wasn’t always the case, however.
In the 1970’s, Ledeen was, allegedly, a CIA asset. In particular, he was known for his work in Italy.
I just happened to find an article alleging this relationship in the CIA reading library

The next month, March 1978, the round table occurred with Ledeen moderating.

As you can tell from the question, Ledeen was growing disenchanted with the CIA in 78.
