Jurors in the Harvey Weinstein trial will restart deliberations today after Friday's cliffhanger described in this @Jan_Ransom story below. The jury wrote a note suggesting it was deadlocked on the two top charges but had reached a verdict on the others.

If the jurors are following the complicated rules correctly, it suggests they have found Weinstein guilty of the lower charges. That's b/c, technically speaking, if they had acquitted on the lower charges they can't even consider the top charges.

@Jan_Ransom But if the jurors AREN'T following the rules right, there's another reading. It's possible that they've unanimously decided to acquit on the lower charges but some are still hoping to convict on the top charges alone.

@Jan_Ransom ...under this reading, the note could be interpreted as an appeal by the jurors who understand the rules to have the judge step in and explain them to those who do not understand the rules.
