Meanwhile the @CDCgov says:

@CDCgov Trump has installed political loyalists (Grenell and Patel) at @ODNIgov.

Let's hope the @CDCgov doesn't suffer the same fate when the president doesn't like the news it has to share.

A new email, obtained by @weareoversight, reveals what we knew to be true:

There was no policy review of the Ukraine funding taking place last summer.

That was the cover-up story.
As @publicintegrity's @rjsmithcpi reports, Pentagon lawyer Edwin S. Castle sent an email on Aug. 26 that said:

“Ma’am, I’ve learned that there is no ongoing interagency review process with respect to [Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative]." publicintegrity.org/national-secur…

National security adviser Robert O’Brien is speaking now at the Atlantic Council. Hints at more cuts to NSC coming this week.
“The streamlining and rightsizing is concluding,” he says, notes that number of policy staff will be cut down further “by the end of this week.”
Will be down to 115-120 by end of this week, he says.
O’Brien: “It’s a privilege to work at the White House. It’s not a right...the Vindmans had served there for over a year. Their services were no longer needed.”
