Obama's Former DHS Acting Inspector General Charles K. Edwards & his former subordinate Murali Yamazula Venkata were indicted for theft of government property conspiracy, wire fraud & identity theft. Venkata was also charged w/ destroying records.

They were involved in a scheme *with others* from October 2014 to April 2017, which means there may be more indictments coming.

They stole proprietary DHS OIG software & government employee databases to RESELL that software, with enhancements, to the Dept of Agriculture OIG.
The company that used the stolen software and made enhancements to it to be resold to Dept of Agriculture OIG was Charles K. Edwards' own company, Delta Business Solutions.
Venkata and others also helped former Acting DHS OIG Edwards reconfigure his laptop to make it easier for Edwards to install the stolen software & databases. They even helped him build a test server and Edwards hired software developers in India to develop the software.
Oh look, even leftists Wikipedia has a write up about Edwards. Wonder how long that'll stay up.....

Former Los Angles City Councilman Mitchell Englander was is morning for an investigation into him for accepting escort services, cash, hotels, and meals in from a businessman who was looking for more business in the city.

Englander suddenly resigned from office back in 2018 while he still had 2 years left of his term.

Looks like the corruption investigation goes back to at least August 2017, but probably earlier since that appears to be when he learned about the investigation.
At the time he stepped down, he said he was taking a job with sports and entertainment advisory company Oak View Group.

Joshua Schulte found guilty on 2 charges, mistrial on the other charges.

I''m not sure what exactly he was found guilty for.
Looks like he was only convicted for making false statements and contempt. The main charges were declared mistrial.

Count 10, per the DOJ, is actually for receipt of child porn, so either NYT was wrong above or the original poster was wrong on the count#.

Wow! Press conference by SDNY today at 11:00 am Eastern to announce indictment of 27 people in the horse racing industry related to race horse doping!
I haven’t seen an update posted by SDNY yet, but found this article.

Looks like they deceived government regulators, Customs & Border Protection and horse racing officials in order to give the horses performance enhancing drugs.
