Macron is explaining: "Protect the most vulnerable first. The aged, the handicapped--they have to stay home and limit their contacts with others "to the maximum."

Second goal: gain time. Put brakes on the epidemic. Flatten the curve.
After Monday: day cares, schools, universities, will be closed. Organizing daycare for healthcare workers. Everyone else: telecommute. We're keeping public transport open, but use it as little as possible. No large gatherings.
We're going to remobilize retired health care workers. We're going to mobilize med students. If you need non-emergency medical care--forget it. Not now.

We hope within the coming months we'll have better treatments. European research cooperation will intensify.
We need exceptional protection for our more fragile citizens. And support for people working in tourism, for entrepreneurs ... whatever it costs, we'll manage. We'll have a massive program for those made unemployed by this. You'll keep your homes.
We'll stop at nothing to keep you afloat. We'll protect our workers. We'll respond fast and strongly to prop up the economy, no matter what it takes. Europe will react in an organized, massive way to protect our economy.

I count on you, ladies and gentlemen, to reawaken your most generous impulses, the French spirit that has seen us through so many trials. We must forge a sovereign Europe that takes its destiny in its hands. The time is now for protecting our cohesion and citizenship.

It was an okay speech.
