A coordinated temporary restriction of non-essential travel to the EU for 30 days was agreed. Health&interior ministers are in permanent contact. @ECDC_EU produces continuous risk assessment reports

2️⃣ The EU 🇪🇺 is ensuring provision of medical equipment
➡️coordinating delivery of masks and respirators
➡️joint procurement for masks & other protective equipment
➡️working with industry to increase production
➡️regulating exports outside the EU

3️⃣ The EU 🇪🇺 is supporting research to develop vaccines, treatments & diagnostic for #COVID19.

The EU mobilised:
🔹 €47.5million research funds
🔹 €90million in public&private funds though @IMI
🔹 €164million for SMEs&startups for innovative solutions

4️⃣ The EU 🇪🇺 is supporting jobs, businesses & the economy.
Together, the EU & its member states are mobilising:
- 1️⃣% EU GDP in fiscal measures
-🔟% EU GDP in liquidity support
The @ecb announced a €750 billion Emergency Purchase Programme.

5️⃣ The EU 🇪🇺 is helping citizens stranded in third countries.

We are working around the clock, in coordination with EU delegations and member states' embassies for the repatriation of EU citizens stranded abroad.
