You learn this when you play something like Pandemic/Plague Inc. The way to win a scenario is make your bacterium/virus/parasite highly contagious with a number of different vectors but also almost undetectable, only making people slightly sick if at all.
This is incredibly morbid but just for incredibly morbid fun I ran a COVID-19 scenario the other day, matched the symptoms as closely as I could, and didn’t develop anything it doesn’t have.
