Okay the premise is...

1 Mile Squared Building.

First some groundwork. Average human height is 5.8ft. Extremes being about 7-4 ft

So I am making the ceiling 8ft. Just for the mind thinking.

So for a "floor" of a building would be. LxWxH.
1mi=5280ft. Although a Nmi. [Nautical Mile is about 2 Standard miles. Never mind that odd factoid.]

So 5280'x5280'x8'=223,027,200 ft 3. Ergo Volume of space not area.

Area would be 27,878,400 ft 2 =1 mi 2. How many people can I fit in here. Theoretically about the same number of people due to 1ft 2. Space a Normal Person would be. Although I didn't factor in Pygmies, Midgets, or Sumo Wrestlers. But, we are not interested in that number.

Okay, living quarters remember this is just MAFF nothing Iwould want to do or would I? Average Sleeping/Living Area.
1 Person 100ft2 (800ft3)-278,784 units.
2 Person 200ft2 (1600ft3) - 139,392 units
4 Person 400ft2 (3200ft3)-69,692 units

So my 1mi2 x 8ft = 223,027,200ft3. Oh I forgot silly me, we can't teleport you into your living spaces. So we need hallways. So subtract 16,865,528ft3 for hallways. [(3x5280x8)xN] So we have 221,340,672 usable space. Sorry this location is not Sumo Wrestler Friendly Go on Diet!🤣

So that is for one level of my square mile building. But wait there is more! I want to add levels. Just multiply number floors you want. by 221,340,672. ft3. I went with 5 Stories. So x5. 1 square mile building with 5 stories can hold 1,393,920 at well 100ft2 (800ft3) standards.

But, wait there is even more. I am worse than a Car Salesman on Catnip. We have 7 Billion People on Earth, how will we ever house them all? Easy. We build my Tribble-Industries Flapjack Stack Buildings, 5 stories of absolute love your neighbor goodness. 🤣

7 Billion -> 1,393,920 per 5 story building. -> 5021 rounded to 5022. 5 story 1 square mile buildings. Which is roughly 5,022 square miles no? So where shall we build this all? I have the perfect place to build. Everything is bigger in Texas No? Total area of Texas is 268,820 mi2

Whether we clump these all together or spread them out around the whole state is a moot point. Just that we can cram everyone into the state and still have room left after my building project is zany enough. But then, we go bananas. The Ovaries Meme is about to get a new meaning!

Female pop is about <2/3 or >1/2.
7B x 2/3 x 12 -> 56B + 7B = 63B after 9 mo. of pregnancy if possible of female population at 12 children apiece. That would be in the extreme which actually does happen. HOWEVER, we can go this

If instead do the calculations over a time frame. Lets say oh. 1 Baby per 9 mo. Over about 10 years. You are looking at 13 singletons. If I give a 1 mo cooldown its still pretty high 12. So 4.6B women over 10 years can have 452 to 598B little tykes singleton. Without other factor

And lets say one never got old. And was perpetually youthful. There is a hard cap I remember some doctor mentioning something like 150K eggs? So at 100% fertility per "shot" cough for over 1000 years you "only" have theoretically 1,777 descendants. Not factoring multiples skewing

So even if tomorrow everyone became ageless. Theoretically just current female population could only get us in into 8.17T population. Cough. Lets say female population is about oh 4.78T of those descendant and they have 1,777 descendants. 1.45 Quadrillion.

Looks at sticky notes, and thinks hmm. Probably need to start building more buildings. 🤣
