There is something new in the last decade about supporters of neoliberalism and the far right — they no longer hide behind veils of euphemisms and circular reasoning (1/x)
They lay it bare - without dress, without adornment — PROFIT OVER PEOPLE. Individualism forsaking community, morality, and humanity. (2/x)
This is a new opportunity, in dark times, to demonstrate the logic in plain form to the wider public and the world. Prostrated and beaten, the calculus leads the neoliberalism to save themselves in spite of the public. (3/x)
What kind of democracy is this? It is not. Any democracy that leaves a significant portion to squalor and die amongst poverty, imperialism, and a conquest of world hegemony is not a true democracy. It may look like one. (4/x)
It may even taste like one - with freedoms held strong - but it is a democracy for the few. Neoliberals say they fear the tyranny of the majority. Perhaps we can now see why. That ideology is made concrete in human form, in speech and in deed. (5x)
Perhaps this is a time for hope, or dread - idk. But I am always optimistic.
Maybe DR. Seuss has some advice - as I thought while reading to my daughter thrice. Image
