We’re sad to report that 3 of our candidates may not be on the ballot because their petitions were objected.

One thing remains clear: those who filed objections are not our allies. Instead of letting the people decide, they seek to predetermine who should be on the ballot.

Filing objections to duly filed petitions is already an anti-democratic measure.

The BOE has its own regulatory authority to eliminate incorrect or obviously fraudulent petitions. Why go the extra step? It’s because they’re scared of a fair fight at the ballot box.

The practice behind incumbents challenging petitions during a public health crisis is PRECISELY the self-interested behavior people don't want from our County Democratic Parties.

(Even if they’re not incumbents, it’s still not right.) #HealthyDemocracy

It’s bad enough that someone would take advantage of a worldwide pandemic. We’re in the middle of a public health crisis & a few bad actors are more worried about knocking people off the ballot for their own selfish gain? This is shameful. #DontKnockTheVote

We stand in solidarity with anyone against whose petitions an objection was filed. This practice must stop. #HandsOffOurBallots
