The big money has already been made: Before February 14 was the time to have made your bets on #CoronaVirus. You should have bet against the major indices and against tech companies whose supply chains depended on Chinese-made components and/or products, like say Apple.

The dumb money is now crowding those #CoronaVirus trades—so the profits will be razor thin or nonexistent. Also, if you short further out of the money, you run the risk that your counterparty in the trade won't make good—which at this time I think is a definite possibility.

I say “you run the risk that your counterparty in the trade won't make good”—i.e., some big financial institutions might go bankrupt in the near-term, because none of the problems of 2007-09 were solved: They were drowned in Central Bank liquidity.
