As interim Sec of AUWU Brisbane Branch, I notified a meeting to elect executive tomorrow 5pm, Mon 25/5.

This was done with full cooperation of AUWU management.
I have since been locked out of my AUWU email address.

Please resolve this

Since calling this meeting unknown people in AUWU management have removed my access to the AUWU email address I was given. This is the address I called this meeting from. They have changed my password and locked me out. This means whoever runs this meeting is posing as me.

Taking over my email account in this fashion is fraudulent and misrepresents me. I have been locked out of this account since the 16 May 2020. The meeting is for 5pm tomorrow, and whoever is running it will be running it from my AUWU email account - which is in my name. #Fraud

Also, my proposed coordinator for the Brisbane Branch of the AUWU has since advised the AUWU management have met with the Bayside Branch, without me, and decided to merge into a South East Queensland branch and formed that executive - undemocratically and illegitimately. #auspol

I fear that the meeting tomorrow night will be hijacked by people posing as me, who will kick me out of the meeting, without allowing me any room to explain any of this. I also fear that as the invitation was sent to 922 people under my name, that this undermines my credibility.

I am left no choice but to go public with this. As the meeting was called under my name with alleged national AUWU management approval. My name is now being misrepresented and damaged and I take no responsibility for the actions of these people for the outcome of this meeting.

This whole episode underlines the need for transparency of the whole AUWU organisation, their need to act in accordance with their constitution as per their Incorporated Associations Act as registered with Consumer Affairs Victoria. The @AusUnemployment is not run legitimately.

I called the meeting for tomorrow night with nine days notice to 922 people in the Action Network from my AUWU account. Since then, they've changed my email password, had a meeting and elected a new committee of a Sth East Qld Branch - without me. They act illegitimately.

@lukehgomes @RoyceRk2 FYI A thread of illegitimate actions by the AUWU. Appallingly undemocratic and potentially fraudulent actions. I'm very sorry to say all this is true.

I was elected as the Brisbane Branch Secretary of the AUWU in July last year, prior to going to Canberra with @GetUp to lobby federal politicians to #RaiseTheRate of NewStart and related payments. Their directory still lists me as such. Their actions are illegitimate.

Yesterday, I called the legal validity of the AUWU into question. How did “they” respond?

Also, they cancelled tonight’s meeting rather than, as stated in an email to all AUWU members, calling into it - they couldn’t start or accept members to it without impersonating me. They cancelled today, after my tweets of last night. Says it all really. #AUWUfail #auspol

I believe I still am the secretary of the Brisbane Branch of the AUWU. Their illegitimate actions aren’t made legitimate by writing letters with conveniently placed lies the day after I exposed them. I defend human rights, they appear to want to trash mine.

The union sent this tweet on the 26 May 2020 - they don’t supply the two emails sent to members post my call for nominations and a meeting to elect the rest of the Brisbane Branch Committee, they just supply their created puff of justification. #AUWUfail

Where are the two emails sent to members about the meeting I called? @AusUnemployment - You know the one stating you would “call into” ie: “impersonate me” to disrupt my properly called meeting with power plays and dictating outcomes rather than voting with due process? #AUWUfail

The AUWU removed my access to my email address, so I couldn’t run a meeting I called to elect a full committee. Then they had a meeting without notice to anyone and without me (Secretary of BNE CND) and merged my branch “ILLEGALLY” into another one - and then planned to 1/2...

2/2 fraudulently use my email address to enter my meeting and declare themselves the grand Pooh bah’s of everything, defame me, and take over. I called them out with this thread’s beginning the day before. Then they cancelled my meeting altogether. Illegitimate. Undemocratic!

And since then, one of the so called new branch, a backstabbing nasty piece of work, has told me I am only interested in power grabs. My GOD! I was the only one doing things democratically. Potentially doing myself out of a position I really wished to keep. Appalling! #AUWUfail

The email members of #AUWU should be most concerned about is this one: A merging of branches within three days of one of those branches call for nominations and elections. A planned fraudulent takeover of the meeting I called, all with @AlexPNorth & @JeremyPoxon's approval.

Within three days of my call for a democratic meeting to fully form the committee of the Brisbane Branch of the AUWU an illegal meeting of a select few is called to abolish and merge that branch into another one. This is appalling. #AUWUfail #auspol
