I'm clutching for subjects, visiting @YouTube for videos describing projects you can perform if you are quarantined. Today I went out to go to the pharmacy and then find a place for a couple of dozen shots but my car battery was dead.

Lynn drove me to the pharmacy, but I refrained from asking her to drive me places. That project awaits my battery being jumped today or tomorrow. I'll need to spend an hour driving around so that should present me with plenty of opportunities.

I think I can stop boring you with #selfies for a few days, but only after I present this one last one which is an experiment in motion blur as well as the classic #blackandwhite portrait:

I must have had a bit of a headache after I posed for that one. One thing it illustrates is the difficulty I have finding new ways to take #selfies, so I must resort at times to gimmicks. This didn't stop me from creating several for my Instagram page.

I am not satisfied with the blacks and the shadows in that one. Perhaps I'll go back to redo it so the shadows bite deeper. #Blackcam allows me to do it more or less automatically, but my Nikons demand brutal force with a postprocessing program to get similar effects.

The photo of Tallahassee required very little touching up and no cropping. I had been meaning to catch her in this spot for a few weeks ever since she forsook it as a scratcher and adopted it as a bed.

In my eye, it appears to be a nearly perfect photo. But the Flickr mob often decides to ignore my preference to choose another photo as its choice of the and it had done so with this. I have made several folders dedicated to "personal favorites" -- now in its fourth volume.

Occasionally some brave soul looks through these folders and echoes my choices with a like. It's the old story of the battle between the artist and the Philistines. What I like may well turn out to be an insignificant stone in the Valley of Elah, a missed shot from a slingshot.

The artist hopes for monoliths. These are rare for me in the country of #Flickr.

Sometime I need to talk about the differences between the reception of some pictures on Flickr. Twitter, and Instagram.
