Tonight we are in Colonel Summers where people are gathered for #BlackLivesMatter. Also there are these stickers 
Tonight is the 83rd night of #PortlandProtests
It’s truly surreal to be standing in a park, watching it get dark at 9, and realize that Portland has been at this for almost 3 months. Announcements in the crowd about a silver Jaguar that pulled a gun on a youth march earlier today.
Also some zones tables are out offing information on a variety of topics
Speaker says “as long as there is no justice in our communities there can be no peace because the peace comes at the cost of others”
And the crowd is moving! Did I mention it’s dark?
current chant: “Defund PPB how much? 50% at least! Where does that money go? To the community! What do we want for number 3? Protester amnesty! What do we want for number 4? Kick ted wheeler out the door!”
And the new chant, which has been the motto of this particular tendency of protests: “no cops, no prisons, total abolition!”
These events have been organized very rapidly, with no particular centralized leadership, and have used group consensus to arrive at specific destinations and goals each night. Tonight, they have arrived at their destination: the MCSO county offices
And, by general consensus, Rage Against The Machine and the Coup are played over the PA st least once per night.
Many supportive motorists on Grand. And just now, a Portland Streetcar driver raised their left fist in solidarity as they passed by.
And the 2020 mascot has arrived
Okay, the artist asked not to be tagged, but if anyone knows the artist please let them know that lots of people want to give them $$ and have stickers
And there are now 3 dumpster fires.
So the building that the protesters are at is a Multnomah county sheriffs office as well as the offices of assessment recording and taxation, And the budget office along with others. Also the smoke was thick so we took a walk upwind from the dumpsters
Others are reporting that the window is damaged. Given the dumpster smoke I am not going in to investigate right now.
And we have LRAD. Order to disperse. Threat of teargas.
Apparently, according to the PPB’s twitter stream, this has been declared a riot. And the crowd is moving.

Apparently windows were broken and a fire set that did not catch
Another rush, this time down Madison
Police clear road barriers from the city out of the way by throwing them at the press on the corner. And then they leave and don’t go down that street
Current chant “Black lives matter!” Some people from an apartment come out to cheer as the protesters march past
And after a stroll through Ladd’s Division, this march is now hanging out at an intersection. Where will the crowd go next?
So one more push north over

the target of tonight’s protest seemed to be the Sheriff’s Office in the Mutnomah County building,l though other offices were damaged. Once the marchers achieved the first goal, it was confusing what further goal was accomplished by returning, after neighborhood marches.
Parting words from the crowd for the PPB, as they came around again on their fleet of vehicles.
At the risk of frustrating the many people who are excited about the stickers: here are more stickers. Again, the artist who made these didn’t want to be identified. But we also know that artists don’t necessarily realize how much everyone loves their art. So.
Again: We legit don't know who the artist is. the person who gave out stickers the other night was all in black and didn't identify themselves. we just thought the interweb should know about these stickers.
