The way I see it, @fordnation & @ninabifolchi are deliberately endangering the lives of residents to benefit their own interests, personal or partisan, & they're playing with fire so badly it can only result in death & lawsuits

Last night an ad hoc & indefinite lockdown was ordered, because @fordnation & @ninabifolchi haven't bothered to implement reasonable safety precautions for small towns & especially this vacation town during the #2ndWave

1/9 This is 1 of the ways the public fails to grasp how #CDNmedia functions

In the case of #CBC, the board is often tainted by partisanship but it was replaced by the current govt. Continuing issue is higher placed editors & producers who may still wage political battles within
2/9 To support that point, I departed from CBC over a dispute about the Occupy movement. I was dispatched to cover the Toronto camp & I wrote that it was peaceful. But CBC maintains the right for editors to re-write & they did that to me, wrongly claiming the event was violent
3/9 The exec editor went so far as to use a pic of a bomb exploding in Egypt to represent my Toronto coverage. I disputed this politicized spin printed under my byline & my contract was cancelled on the spot. I also couldn't grieve because they use contracts to evade the union

1/3 A Personal Update

So, I haven't been on social media for several weeks. I'm under a lot of stress right now, as my fiancé has been missing since June 29. I can't/won't go into details but it's believed he's physically okay. It's just that no one can contact or locate him

We're worried like crazy & there's nothing anyone can do until he responds to family/friends. It's a truly helpless feeling to manage & I didn't want to embarrass anyone or cry wolf prematurely. I also needed to rule out COVID before speaking up

Some crucial things also went missing with my partner, so I've had to rely on loans from friends during this time of uncertainty. But this isn't sustainable & I'm losing hope

We're just not sure what to do anymore & keeping the faith gets harder by the day

1/9 I'm informed via @canadapostcorp that my parcel of summer clothes is stuck in Burnaby #BCpoli since May & I can't expect delivery in #ONpoli until the end of August

When all @canadaposthelps competitors could deliver in 2 weeks, why is the #CDNpoli service taking 3 months?
2/9 You would think that whoever runs @canadapostcorp is deliberately trying to destroy @canadaposthelps so #CDNpoli mail can be privatized

Most corporations, even the govt's #ONpoli Cannabis Store, are now using private carriers so consumers can receive their purchases in 2020!
3/9 Though I appreciate the record volume & need for #COVID19 precautions, @canadapostcorp isn't keeping pace with UPS, Purolator & other #CDNpoli mail services that also have to practice social distancing

Moreover, @canadaposthelps halted home deliveries & competitors didn't
