"I was the last one to report the 'phone tapping story'. Most of my colleagues had reported the same story. I fail to understand that why the government has singled out one media house in particular",
Two days after his release @DrKafeel_Khan who was charged under NSA for his alleged anti-CAA speech at AMU said at a presser in Jaipur👇
I was harassed and tortured in the Jail
In first 03 days in jail I was offered no water & food
They served me one roti in two days

After spending a week in the curfewed #Kashmir with my parents, I just got back to Jaipur
In this thread I discuss how restrictions on communication is affecting #Kashmiris living in or outside the valley
The communication ban & Curfew enters 10th day - Aug 14, 2019
With no landlines , mobiles, internet working in the valley , this is the second longest communication blockade witnessed since 2016.
And what makes it worst is that not even a single post office is operational from last 10 data since the valley is under curfew #KashmirUnreported
Administration has arranged telephone lines in the district HQs & police stations for parents who want to speak to their children.
BUT how do people reach those spots under curfew?
Is one telephone line sufficient for the population of lakhs ?

First report: 36 hours after I landed in #Kashmir (fifth day of curfew)
I could manage internet connection from a relatives place who lives very close to airport (the only place where internet works)
No communication. Medicines especially insulin is needed in valley
#Kashmir is under complete shut down. Very rare movement of people. The videos of Normal Kashmir being shows by some journalists are of Raj Bagh and area close to press enclave where some movement and please don't mistook it as the picture of entire Kashmir.
URGENT: An urgent ticket counter is needed outside Srinagar airport , so that patients who need urgent medication or parents who need to go out to meet their children would be able to get tickets and could be airlifted. @HMOIndia@PMOIndia
