After spending a week in the curfewed #Kashmir with my parents, I just got back to Jaipur
In this thread I discuss how restrictions on communication is affecting #Kashmiris living in or outside the valley
The communication ban & Curfew enters 10th day - Aug 14, 2019
With no landlines , mobiles, internet working in the valley , this is the second longest communication blockade witnessed since 2016.
And what makes it worst is that not even a single post office is operational from last 10 data since the valley is under curfew #KashmirUnreported

I could manage internet connection from a relatives place who lives very close to airport (the only place where internet works)
No communication. Medicines especially insulin is needed in valley #Kashmir is under complete shut down. Very rare movement of people. The videos of Normal Kashmir being shows by some journalists are of Raj Bagh and area close to press enclave where some movement and please don't mistook it as the picture of entire Kashmir.

I have just boarded the flight to #Srinagar. The only way I could find to reach my parents. I haven't been able to contact them since past 4 days. This is the story of every #Kashmiri living away from the valley --a valley writhing under the weight of brute force #Kashmir
Once I reach there, I'll be incommunicado. No phones, no internet, not even landlines. This air journey feels like one down an abyss. I'll give an update when it's possible to. I don't have the faintest idea when that will be possible. I am surrounded by numb Kashmiris #Kashmir
