Despite the lack of national leadership in #COVID19, I've been inspired by working with researchers like @SaraSuliman13 and @drlouiseivers. Our team just got support from @MALifeSciences for our work evaluating #SARSCoV2 rapid tests in @CityofHolyoke.

2/#COVID rapid tests that are fast, cheap and can be used by individuals at home or on the go will be a key part of the toolkit that gets us out of this #pandemic.

This great post by @PaulSaxMD explains how.…
3/The importance of this strategy is not new; in this @washingtonpost OpEd @RanuDhillon @AbraarKaran and @sri_srikrishna argue for mass-rapid testing as early as August of last year.…
4/With new leadership on the horizon, and hundreds of #COVID rapid tests in the pipeline, key now will be to validate these tests asap and implement/evaluate innovative delivery strategies at scale and in an iterative way.

#COVID19 @CDCgov @RWalensky
5/This kind of work is made possible by the support of Mayors like @AlexBMorse and leaders like @BloombergME at @CityofHolyoke. Your vision of what #COVID19 response and public health should look like has been inspiring.

I'm a #LatinX physician, taking care of #LatinX patients with #COVID19.

I've been so surprised at how people are surprised by data showing #COVID19 is disproportionately affecting marginalized communities that till now I didn't know how to respond.

Some thoughts:

2/The implications of these #disparities run far deeper than simple differences in rates of morbidity and mortality. I applaud all of those shedding light on these #inequities, but we need action, and we need it now. @valstonemd @drlouiseivers #COVID19 #SDOH
3/A majority of our #EssentialWorkers, our #FrontLineHeroes, come from minority communities; these are the individuals putting themselves at risk to do the invisible work without which our society would collapse. @JoiaMukherjee #COVID19
