The UK mutant B.1.1.7 form of #COVID19 first hit #Denmark on Dec. 14 -- a country that was doing a great job controlling the virus. But then is soared, by 70%/week, and the country is in ER mode.

The US ranks 43rd in the world in genomic screening of #COVID19 viruses -- we test abt 0.3% of new cases/day, haphazardly. About 80 B.1.1.7 cases have been found so far, plus homegrown variants.
We have NO strategic screening.

Look at this thread. Cong. Schneider makes the THIRD Representative to test + for #COVID19 after spending hours during the Jan 6 insurrection in a room with #Republicans that refused to wear masks. It clearly was a superpreader event.

While all eyes are on the fallout of the Jan 6 #insurrection the #SARSCoV2 virus is spreading across America at breakneck speed. During the time the entire @WhiteHouse has been focused on false claims that #Trump won -- since Nov 3 -- the US caseload has more than 2X'ed.

And American deaths?
Election Day total = 231,600
Jan 9 = 373,500
So, 141,900 Americans have died while @WhiteHouse focused on "stolen election"
