Good morning everyone!
It’s a windy, almost rainy day here at the Court of Arbitration. The dark clouds heavy with rain, hang over the building give me a sense of gloom.
As I walk into the courtroom, I can’t help but wonder what it’s going to be like after #OccupyLekkiTollGate
Tuesday, February 16th marks the 41st sitting of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry.
The first petition, Francis Eni Idum vs FSARS for adoption. Both petitioners’ and police counsel don’t have their written addresses ready, Justice Okuwobi warns against delays in submission and adjourns their case to Feb 20, 2021. #ENDSARS
The 2nd petition, the family of late Mr. Rashid Olanrewaju Kareem vs Nigerian Police Force. Taking to the witness stand, is the deceased’s brother Lekan Bankole who testifies he ‘Rashid’ - was killed on October 21, 2020 a day after the #ENDSARS protests.
Lekan submits photos, bullet casings and a video recording of the incident and the tendered as evidence.
His lawyer then applies for the video to be viewed in court.

By the time I arrived in court, it was already in session. Just walking in I knew something was different, still feeling stressed out from this morning’s events, now no seats.
So from what I’ve gathered petitioners counsel, Adesina Ogunsanya has complained about that persons have been trailing his clients and names the Federal government, Lagos state government & Lekki Concession Company as perpetrators.
