Evert American Should Read Creating The Declaration Of Independence
If I were the king of schools, I’d make every child learn Euclid, and read @Shestokas’ book, #6 on our list. Okay, I'd have all 12 of my books mandatory, but you get the idea!
2) One of the most powerful aspects of Amazon is the reviews we're empowered to write. Back on 17 June 2018, almost 3 years ago, I wrote this review and posted it there. If you have the time, a voter of "helpful" would be great!
3) It's not just that our history is being erased by the left. It is THIS history that is MOST under attack. Jefferson and team put the MOST dangerous ideas in history into the Declaration. No tyrant can love these concepts. Tyranny rests on our ignorance.
4) Make America GREAT Again. No document in human history has had more national greatness packed inside than our Declaration. I love our Constitution. But if I had to pick between the two the Declaration would win out all day. With it, you could recreate the Constitution at need.
5) Shestokas mastery is shown in two different ways in this critically important book. The first is that he takes you there. The primary sources, written by the actors in real time as the Declaration was being created, reveal so much more than just the issues.
6) The men involved knew perfectly well that more than just their lives, limbs, and sacred honor were at stake. They knew they were involved in creating a new nation, unlike any before in all history. They understand the gravity and significance of the moment.
7) So, they kept journals of the days, and they faithfully logged their thoughts and analysis, the reasons behind what they did into those journals, and more, they made sure those journals were passed down to posterity. That is the magic of Shestokas' book.
8) Do you know the term "God's eye view?" In fiction, the author knows everything about every character, each and every event. Why didn't the boy kiss the girl? The novelist knows why and can reveal as much or little as he desires. The novelist enjoys his God's eye view.
9) When I first read Shestokas' book, I had a hard time accepting his God's eye view of the events. Once we became friends, I challenged him on this, and he laughed. He knew all he knew because the actors playing their parts documented it. I had to surrender.
10) And that brings us to the second part of Shestokas' magic. The Declaration is written as a legal complaint, including what has been done wrong, and what must be done to remedy the situation. It is, in fact, a legal brief. Shestokas is an attorney. He gets this stuff.
11) I am not an attorney. Legal history is NOT my specialty, much as I wish it were. I have Blackstone's book, but I haven't been able to read it yet. If you don't know Blackstone, that's okay. Just know that his explanation of Common Law is part of our history.
12) Even without Blackstone, we can reduce the very idea of common law down to a complaint and a remedy. Of course the complaint must be proved. Once done so, the remedy must be decided. Precedent must be appealed to. How have previous juries and judges chosen?
13) Over the centuries of common law, the form of a complaint was settled. In his book, Shestokas does not take us down this historic path, reaching back hundreds of years to at least Magna Carta. But he, himself, is an absolute master of all this history.
14) We don't need to become equal masters in order to understand that our Declaration is a legal document, built upon precisely that very history. It shows the complaint. It expresses the remedy. That is the heart of soul of the matter.
15) In Biden's America, elections do not matter. Election fraud is just okay. That he is an usurper in office is just what we must swallow and accept. A landslide election stolen? No matter. Just shut up. This is not about the past. It's about the present and future. All good.
16) Thefts must be adjudicated. Rights do not disappear when we have been wronged. The benefit of a right may be trampled upon. An innocent man may be stoned. His right to life is not gone. Its benefit has been wronged. His life is stolen. His right to life cannot be.
17) By evildoing, a man may forfeit his right to life. The biblical 'eye for an eye' rule applies. One who murders, taking the life of a free man unlawfully, is a murderer who may have his life taken as his consequence. The only person able to forfeit a right is the right holder.
18) Evil men steal rights. They murder innocents. They enslave the free. They steal the right of pursuit of happiness. The abridge the right of property. They point the gun of law at those who have NOT broken the law. They use law to enslave, obliterating the meaning of law.
19) When an evil man steals rights, trampling upon their benefit, he breaks the social compact. Why do men institute governments? Read the Declaration. They do so to, wait. Let's let Thomas Jefferson himself speak...
20) "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form...
21) "laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."
22) Now that is a complaint. I can't emphasize too strongly how important Shestokas' perspective on this is. He treats a people as he would a person. Through our Declaration, he interprets how we were wronged as a people, and how we readied ourselves for the remedy.
23) In their case, the remedy was our Revolutionary War. We fought the Red Coats as an insurgency, ousting its invaders. And we won. Our Declaration told every single patriot precisely what he was fighting for. Let me refer, for a moment, back to book #4, Gene Sharp's book.
24) Sharp teaches us that tyrants tend to have control over force, and that violence is often the only means for the democrats (I always flip that word to republicans) to win is by non-violence. Violence tends to throw the moment to the dictator's superior forces.
25) Sharp has sold me. As we throw off the yoke of tyranny we have arrived it in America today, I see no hope for a violent response. I add, that the legal, non-violent, political defiance that Sharp offers, along with his powerful focus on strategy holds our answers.
26) And that's why we require Shestokas' time machine. Be clear, a Sharp-caliber war is still that, a war. That it is fought both legally and without violence does NOT make it an act of pacifism. It is just war by another means. But it requires the same if not greater will.
27) Jefferson's words have rung across our land and throughout the world ever since he penned them. We need them today more than ever. Reading the Declaration itself is an important thing to do. But to make the reading truly powerful, you need Shestokas' help.
28) I consider #TrumpsPickSix our current call to non-violent arms. We MUST:
1/ Have ONLY One Election Day 2/ No Mail-in Voting 3/ Require 100% Voter Identification 4/ Universal Signature Matching 5/ Citizenship Verification 6/ Chain of Custody Protections for Every Ballot
29) My own focus is at the county level. As I build partnerships with sheriffs and their supporters, this will be my single driving tactical target. How do we get our county to move in the direction of #TrumpsPickSix? And for that, we will need Shestokas.

2E) I am sick to death of such shenanigans. Although they're not going fast right now, they continue to eat away at my number of followers, and of course, I have to always be ready at a moment's notice for them to give me the boot.
3E) I can't say "I still believe in this platform," but I can say it does still hold very real benefit. The strongest of which is the threading function. To my knowledge, no other platform offers it, and it's powerful. Also, there are still over 18,000 of you who follow me here.
4E) One thing I think I'm going to try to do is discover the easiest way for my fellow Telegrammers to comment upon individual points. I'm sure there are ways, and we will learn them.
5E) For all that, Telegram - even though my number of followers there is tiny - is rapidly becoming my home platform. I feel zero fear of censorship. But there's something even better! In our discussion group, we complete control over membership.
6E) We let anyone join who wishes. But we have clear rules of behavior, and we enforce them. That simply means if anyone gets out of line, we boot them. Out of line? There is a single greatest rule: respectful dialogue. We couldn't care less where someone stands politically.
7E) All are truly welcome, as long as...they behave with respect and consideration. It's not that we monitor such rude behaviors as direct contradiction, although we do not favor it. We wish for polite exchange no matter how great the disagreement may be.
8E) But we will not tolerate any personal attacks, and do not favor any kind of trolling. Our group is clearly a Pro-Trump, MAGA outfit, to be sure. So, posting stuff about how great Biden is and how terrible Trump was/is will not go over well. Even there, though...
9E) A well reasoned argument is ALWAYS welcome. The more respectful the better, but agreement is simply NOT a requirement. No one needs to agree with anyone. And, I believe you'll find our combination of rules and strategy refreshing, and possibly a real home for you online.

Trewhella’s book, #5 on our Local Patriot's Required Reading List, is an absolute historical gem. Like truth itself, there's a strange power to freedom. Let's talk about that.
2) There is an ebb and flow to freedom's path. In 2020, freedom ebbed in America to its lowest tide in our history since 1776. Of all the countless factors causing this hellacious ebb, one rises highest, I believe. Education.
3) We have surrendered our children over to educations that are fundamentally opposed to freedom. I'll give you a quick example. My son Nico competed and won his spot in a science program for high school. He ended up in trouble for attitude. I attempted to defend him.
Switzerland is famous for its gun culture. One of the great factors is that, upon leaving the military, soldiers keep their service weapons. They become members of a well-ordered militia thereafter.
2) This was precisely the vision of our founders when they created the 2nd Amendment to our Federal Constitution. Local communities with well-ordered militias are near impossible to conquer. There's a very simple reason. Conquest requires surrender.
3) If you consider the function of General George Washington in our Revolution, you clearly see that resistance requires leadership. There are no such things are armies without generals. A militia must be led. In America, who is the leader of local forces?
A county needs a soul. It has its own already, but most of us can’t access it and it can’t make decisions. No, it needs a single patriot to arise as its spokesman, one who will dedicate him- or herself as such.
2) I offer but a single parameter of qualification. The County Soul will read the 12 books I recommend and will read them with his or her county in mind. You may believe me when I tell you I know how bold I am in so saying. I do. Yet here's my list.

Non-Violent, Lawful, Political Defiance: The Local Patriot’s Pivot Point
How far have we wondered astray of the Spirit of 1776? I can tell you. A big part of me resists the truth of the terms in today's analysis' title. It almost seems a mere dream.
2) Here I am preaching this to you as your pivot point, you being, like me, a local patriot. And yet, as I read the words I wrote, the "yeah right" reaction almost overtakes me. I assure you; I too am subject to despair and desolation.
3) Fortunately for me, and I hope for you too, spiritual answers may be found to shore up our courage and effort on behalf of America. Since I published this list, the books on it have given me sustenance I might not have imagined before.
