Fellow Sane Idahoans, don't let the #idleg and #IDiots and #COVIdiots get you down.
Now, if you have complained about the #idleg but you voted for Ryan Davidson, you need to go spend some time alone for some serious personal introspection because you did a bad bad thing.
That said there are some things we all need to do.  The extremists, they won't change, but when you hear normal people you know and who you have a realtionship spout the stupid stuff, know enough about it that you can itnerject and say "actually, that isn't right" #idleg
You have to speak up.  You have to be a resource that people will trust for information, even if you cannot be political due to your current work/position/standing whatever.  If you cannot say it publicly, at least be a resource to send people to the right place. #idleg
You have to band together with others who have similar goals, even if you are not of the same political ideology.  Find the common ground where you can support others.  #idleg
You have to recognize that Twitter is not real, Facebook is not real, and Instagram is totally not real.  (TikTok is real though).  Don't create your own echo chamber.  We all know the crazy uncle who posts stuff on Facebook. #idleg
We don't want to engage with him, but he needs to know and see what we are saying.  Sometimes you need to post it all everywhere so people see it (and then make an interpretive dance for TikTok).  #idleg
We all remember in college that on a typical day at the Student Union, the College Republicans/Jordan Peterson Fan Club had 5 dudes screaming about men's rights  and the Students for Fidel had 15 people with assorted leftist slogans shouting them down,  #idleg
The other 500 people were just trying to get a bagel before running off to their 11am lab, and then getting to work, and then getting their project done.  #idleg
that is what we have to remind people, that the extremists feed off each other, create the conflict, create the fear, but their existence is not reality. #idleg
most everyone is just trying to get by and the coalition of the normal can be powerful if mobilized, but unfortunately, the extremists are the ones that mobilize people.  #idleg
For those "boosters" that are threatening BSU, point out that if you make the school hostile to diverse viewpoints and diverse student body, do you really think you are going to win another Fiesta Bowl if you don't have type of players we have been able to recruit? #idleg
I am fine if you want to go back to the FCS/1AA but I don't think a lot of you Fiesta Bowl aficionados really want to go back to playing directional schools and that is what you will do if you run off coaches and players because of the veiled and open racism.  #idleg
So, hug a teacher, tell your Dad that Tucker isn't right and that you Cannot believe that he would watch Nazi propaganda, ask a trans kid if they are OK. #idleg
wave to your neighbor with the Trump bumper sticker (but not the ones with the flags still flying, they are irredemable), #idleg
And find new ways to spread normality.  Let people know what you think, that you can be trusted, and that you are willing to show them the way.  #idleg

Today @KristinWardle and I celebrate our 30th Anniversary.  April 12 is our anniversary because it was the only week that worked with our academic calendars in 1991 as we both were racing to try to get done with school, while attending different universities Image
One was on semesters the other on quarters.  She was done with her semester and had more time off before her summer term, so we took a few days, got married, and then threw ourselves back into school and work. Image
The result of that, though was regular anniversary celebrations during Law School impacted by school and finals. Image

So heard a Texas legislator defend his #voting bill on @CNN this morning by countering “well how much fraud do you think is acceptable” even after being confronted with the study indicating that recent research has uncovered less than 20 instances of voting fraud.
So if any potential for voting fraud is a reason for Republicans to act in such an aggressive manner then I hope they will rethink their tolerances in other area?
Science has shown us that there are levels of contamination to drinking water that do not pose a threat to human health, but Republicans if zero potential for voting fraud is the goal shouldn’t that be the goal for arsenic, lead, and other heavy metals in drinking water?

And we need to call out #voting extremism and extremists at home #idleg #idpol
Don’t tell me that we need to make voting more difficult. Where is your proof that will improve democratic participation? #idleg #idpol
Here in Idaho where the House Majority leader proclaimed that “it shouldn’t be easy to vote” because someone had shared a Facebook Story or Meme about ballot harvesting.

Friends and Family,

If you are going to share stories, memes, thoughts on Georgia’s recently adopted voting law changes, including criticism of critics, I ask that you do a little research and you give a little thought before doing it. /1 #voting #GA #votingrights #racism
There are provisions of the Georgia law that do make permanent certain changes there that were implemented in response by COVID.  Every state should implement those elements.  /2
And if it were actually about voter ID then that issue has been fully vetted and addressed by the Courts regarding what is appropriate and constitutional. /3

When I see the Facebook posts of friends and relatives from Arizona it reaffirms my belief that many Arizonans are just western Floridians.
I mean my sweet aunt in AZ who always shares the up lifting cute stuff then likes virulent MAGA stuff
My former Mission President who lives in AZ posts uplifting things and then goes on praising Andy Biggs and Brian Kemp for standing up to the woke masses.

@KamalaHarris is the best of America. You don’t have to agree with her, but if you don’t respect her, you don’t respect America.
