Hey dude, the fact that countries generously donated to help #India fight #COVID19 #SecondWave, is not the credit of the Indian government. Its to their credit and it’s a failure of the government to be so unprepared for the second wave!
It’s not entirely true that Indian government failed to vaccinate people in the 70s and 80s. In cooperation with @WHO, #India managed to eradicate #SmallPox by 1988. That was a huge achievement and this speech just belittles that!
yes #India did come up with #COVID19 #Vaccine in a record time, but to claim that this is #IndianExceptionalism is untrue. Making a #COVID19Vaccine in record time wouldn’t have been possible without global collaboration. If anything Covid showed exceptionalism isn’t the way.
So now it is States' fault!
At least the Centre is taking full responsibility for distributing #COVID19 #Vaccines. This is good. Also making the slab on service charges on the private hospitals is good to. Let's hope this gets implemented without blamegame!

I was abused as a child in the boarding school at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith- Purulia. Physical abuse on children was rampant, but the mental indoctrination was even more abusive.

I was passionate about languages & acting, but was barred from both as I was bad at math! Monks told my parents that I wasn't good for anything if I wasn't good in the sciences. Finally dad, who was a photographer, had to take a lot of pics for free to get me into French.

When I finally did act, I was given the role of a hangman with just 1 word. I was also constantly shamed by the teachers and the monks for my dark-skinned. Treated as untouchable, called nasty names, because of my skin colour. Naturally, students bullied me the same way.

We saw these stones on a pavement in #Kolkata today. These stones have fascinating stories to tell. Can you Guess what they were used for before they were used in the pavement?

Here's the answer and @ju_press got it right. These are stones used to produce #lithographic prints in the late 19th & early 20thC. But NOT just any lithographs. The famous chromolithographs of Calcutta Art Studio!
(2/3)
Calcutta Art Studio's chromolithographs became really popular and now are scattered in collections world over. For survival, they moved on to more commercial printing. At some point, the litho stones were reused to make their parking lot, with etchings face-down.
