[Covid 19] Allahabad High Court to hear the suo moto COVID 19 matter shortly.

Earlier, the court had directed the government to inform the court about the steps being taken to upgrade the primary and secondary health care centers.

Court: What's the status, Mr. Goyal?

Manish Goyal, AAG: We were directed to file the status report about future planning and steps to tackle the pandemic. We have filed an affidavit in this regard.

CJ: Why there are so many petitions listed in this case?

AAG: Some are related to parking issues in Prayagraj and other connected issues.

CJ: Whatever measures were required has been taken?

AAG: Yes, all, and we have filed the affidavit today itself. We have given the details, the number of testings and labs.

Intervenor: Please if the court allows, please let me make some submissions. I have filed an application regarding the vaccination of Agricultural department.

CJ: What is the definition of front line workers? Can Agriculture be connected with it?

CJ: Please explain how Agricultural workers can be considered as front line workers.

Intervenor/Letter petitioner: Please consider the issue, even the Central government has framed guidelines in this regard.

CJ dictates order: Mr. Goyal has made reference to various steps taken by the state government in reference to Covid 19. The affidavit shows that facilities for testing has been provided by various testing labs.

The affidavit further shows that effective surveillance and activities has been made. Many surveillance teams have been constituted including Asha and Angandwadi workers.

CJ: The affidavit further reflects that 16,000 beds have been reserved and the facility of ventilator beds have been increased in some districts.

On the previous day, more than 10 Lakhs doses were administrated in one day.

CJ: The state government has taken massive drives for rural areas, the affidavit further shows that for surveillance activities and number of ambulances have been increased.

The affidavit has been filed today only, thus counsel in the connected matter will give their arguments in the next hearing.

After recording the efforts made by the state government, we are only adjoining the matter.

CJ: We have seeing how people are violating the covid 19 norms, we have seen various news reports where people are gathering in larger number at hill stations.

"It is with the note that effort of the government would show results only when public will follow the protocols."

CJ: Since efforts have to be made by everyone and now this matter is adjourned, we have taken note of the affidavit filed the government.
