We lost 72 Albertans in the past week alone.

That is a hard truth to confront.

Besides those in the greatest danger, there are hundreds upon hundreds more in the hospital. 1/5 #ableg #abhealth

And there are still hundreds more Albertans whose life-saving surgeries have been cancelled because our hospitals are overrun.

The frontline heroes who work in those hospitals are sounding the alarm that the healthcare system as a whole is nearing collapse. 2/5 #ableg

And outside our hospitals extremists and conspiracy theorists are harassing healthcare workers and people seeking medical attention.

I have never seen a crisis on this scale in Alberta in my career, or in my entire life. 3/5 #ableg #abhealth

But at this moment, when so many Albertans are suffering, so many are in danger, and so many have died, the Premier and his government are scrambling to save themselves instead of acting to save Albertans. 4/5 #ableg #abhealth

They're allowing COVID to continue to spread out of control through our province will be devastating.
