Franklin is a full-time pharmacist in Stettler, and the first-generation Canadian in her family who immigrated to Alberta from India.

Franklin currently lives in Parkdale in Stettler with her husband, and grew up in Edmonton.

Franklin holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from Chicago State University, and a Bachelors in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Studies from University of The Sciences in Philadelphia.

New data shows that automobile insurance premiums have dramatically increased since Jason Kenney removed the cap on rate increases.

According to data compiled by LowestRates.ca, rates have increased by more than 22 per cent for Albertans in the past year.

In August 2019 the UCP removed the five per cent rate cap on insurance premiums implemented by our #abndp government.

We previously confirmed through the Alberta Lobbyist Registry that before the cap was lifted, #UCP Campaign Director and former Jason Kenney Chief of Staff Nick Koolsbergen registered to lobby the Premier and Minister of Finance to remove the cap on auto insurance rate increases.

Polls are just one snapshot in time. We need our team of volunteers to keep reaching out to people by phone, and having those important one-on-one conversations with Albertans about the things that matter to them.

But we’re coming up on the end of another quarterly fundraising deadline on Sept 30. Our opponents will be watching to see if we can pull it off again. We need to prove that our success was because of hard work and everyone pitching in.

If you are voting for a pipeline, please recall that the Federal government determines the pipeline outcome. I think it highly likely that a Kenney government, by undoing the climate leadership plan, kills that possibility.

If you are voting against equalization, please think of all taxation as equalization. Those who make more, pay more taxes but we all get the same services. Equal.

Oil prices crash, we have been through this often. And every time it happens it is the same. Jobs are lost, people's lives go off the rails and the Alberta economy crashes. This time is no different than the last time or the time before. We have some hard choices to make 2/18

Just looking at the top 2 parties. At the end of the next 4 year term #UCP will have us at 86 bill in debt and #abndp will have us at 95 bill in debt. This is a difference of 9 bill over a 4 year term or 2.25 bill per year. So what does each plan get us? 3/18

Point #1. I was on my own paying rent, utilities, food, clothing & transportation when I was 16. My rent, utilities, food, clothing and transportation was NOT at reduced cost because of my age so why should my wage have been reduced because of my age?

Unless we don't care about putting vulnerable people in poverty and holding them there? Unless we don't care about all people in society and if they have the ability to meet their basic needs?

On #IWD2019 I’m so proud of the concrete steps that @RachelNotley and our government have taken to make REAL, positive change for women.
Steps like:

Creating the first standalone Ministry for the Status of Women in the country.
Proclaiming May as Sexual Violence Awareness Month.
Increasing supports for survivors of sexual violence + increasing funding for women’s shelters. #IWD2019

We passed Safer Spaces legislation allowing Albertans experiencing domestic violence to break a lease and flee their homes. This helped over 400 people in the first year after it was passed.
We covered the cost of abortion pill so it is free to all women who need it. #IWD2019

3/ There’s no data to support the claim that the Alberta carbon tax is a job killer. Yet, anyway. Studies done on BC’s carbon tax (implemented in 2008) show small losses in low-skilled jobs, balanced by increases in other areas. Overall, a wash.
