#BREAKING: Today the U.S. House of Representatives voted YES for the Women’s Health Protection Act. We are one step closer to a future where we're ALL free to make the personal decisions that shape our lives, futures & families. #ActforAbortionAccess #WHPA
This is the first time in history the House of Representatives is voting on proactive, stand-alone legislation to protect abortion rights. 👏
We currently face a wave of anti-abortion legislation across the nation and a looming Supreme Court case that threatens to undermine #RoevWade. By passing the Women’s Health Protection Act, the House of Representatives has made it clear: enough is enough.
Abortion bans disproportionately harm those who already face systemic barriers to health care, including Black, Indigenous, and people of color, those working to make ends meet, women, young people, people with disabilities, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQI+ community.
Thank you to @RepJudyChu, @SpeakerPelosi, all 218 members of the House who voted to protect abortion access today. 👏 #ActForAbortionAccess #WHPA

#BREAKING: We just filed with the U.S. Supreme Court AGAIN in our ongoing fight to block Texas’ radical ban on abortion #SB8. The plaintiffs in this case are a broad coalition of Texas abortion providers led by @WholeWomans.
➡️ What's different this time: We've asked #SCOTUS to hear the defendants’ motions to dismiss the case, which were denied by the district court—and hopefully, expedite the case.
Every day that Texas’ ban is allowed to stay in effect has severe consequences on the health and well-being of millions in the state.

I acted because I had a duty of care to this patient, as I do for all patients, & because she has a fundamental right to receive this care.…”
