#InvArch is an intellectual property & decentralized development network for #web3. InvArch is not just new to the @Polkadot ecosystem, but also a novel project throughout the entire #blockchain community.

This thread serves as a brief introduction to the project.

First, it is important to understand the three (3) key focuses of the network:

1.) Allow users to tokenize their ideas (intellectual property #IP).

2.) Provide a secure environment where ideas can be shared.

3.) Foster a network for collaboration and partnership forming.

#InvArch views #ideas as sets of non-fungible components. Specifically, InvArch introduces Intellectual Property Sets (#IPSets), which are collections of #NFTs called Intellectual Property Tokens (#IPT). These files are what help to describe and detail an idea.

Example: First, @gavofyork would create an #IPSet named "Polkadot"

Then he would mint the #Polkadot whitepaper, light paper, code files, explainer videos, etc. as #IPTs and store them in the Polkadot #IPSet.

Boom! He just #tokenized the idea for Polkadot.

For a moment, let's imagine that Gavin isn't as skilled of a programmer as we all know him to be and that he needs help building #Polkadot. Enter: Intellectual Property Ownership (#IPOwnership) tokens. #Fungible and pegged ownership tokens designed for #utility.

#IPOwnership tokens can be used as leverage in exchange for #skills when forming partnerships. They Can be leveraged in exchange for #capital from #VCs or from the public via #crowdfunding. The truth is, this is only scratching the surface of this utility.

Going back to the original example, Gavin could then decide to leverage Polkadot #IPOwnership tokens in exchange for the #skills that he is missing in order for #Polkadot to come to fruition. Let's say he needs 2 engineers and a UI developer.

Using InvArch, Gavin can form a decentralized entrepreneurial venture (#DEV). A DEV is a partnership between two or more parties established with the intention of #actualizing a DEV's associated #IPSet.
A DEV defines the terms, ownership allocations, #milestones, and more!

After some introductions and interviews, recorded and stored on-chain, let's say Gavin finds the people he's looking for. He provides 10% of Polkadot's #IPOwnership to each engineer (20%), 5% to the UI developer, keeps 15% for himself. 70% is reserved for #crowdfunding

After the terms have been agreed to and all members agree to fill their respective roles, Gavin is in business! At this point, the #DEV will officially launch and development may begin!

In this example, #Polkadot would be one step closer to being real!

But what stops someone from stealing an idea? What if two individuals have the same idea? How do you securely share an idea? What if a participant turns bad, goes rogue? Do you handle arbitration? How do you ensure progress? What about the current/legal IP framework?

#decentralized #KYC will be in place to verify credentials in web 3.0.
1 user = 1 account and users will not be able to have more than 1 account. Only #verified users will be able to fully utilize InvArch.

#IP exposure between one or more accounts (messages and videos during the #DEV interview process) is recorded on-chain. Additionally, on-chain terms and agreements will need to be agreed to before engaging in any activity.

It would be a poor decision to commit acts of blackmail or #IP theft over the #InvArch network, considering the identity of anyone who does these things would be known and their interactions with intellectual property recorded.

Regarding 2 users with the same idea: 1.) InvArch plans for #plagiarism detection & reverse-image search mechanisms, among other features (more later) to ensure #security. 2.) If 2 users coincidentally have similar ideas, that's fine. The focus is bringing ideas to life!

Users can either enter agreements where 1.) they confirm that they release the right to off-chain #arbitration and matters of dispute can either be decided by the #IPOwnership holders of a #DEV (both participants and public holders),

2.) In the future, #InvArch will pursue partnerships with one of the many international #arbitration courts (@WIPO, for example) in order to provide a way to settle issues in the real world.

Both options will likely be made available.

Tracking progress is easy on #InvArch, and it's not too complicated. Participants upload work progress (via code, video log, docs, etc) to the chain on a regular basis, #DEV participants evaluate, then discuss and accept/deny.

Users can use this #worklog mechanism to provide deliverable #payments.

As milestones are met, users can be allocated a proportionate amount of #IPOwnership for their work. Also, #IPTokens could be chosen to not be exposed until relevant to the current #DEV milestone.

At first, #InvArch serves as an ecosystem for development but through #oracle integrations (Hey @chainlink😉), and partnership with global and/or regional patent entities, it can serve as the first synchronous global #IP registry.

Through further partnerships with government agencies, InvArch can not just streamline #IP procedures and access to institutional protection, but it can do the very same for processes involving #incorporation, a feature for #DEVs after their completion.

Whether it is through these previously mentioned integrations (faster) or through raw public acceptance of #InvArch over scattered and #centralized alternatives, InvArch can one day grow to establish a "Law of the Blockchain."

For now, #InvArch is focused on providing a secure environment to share ideas and bring them to life. This is the foundation that the network is centered on; however, there is no denying the potential for the future.
