While we were justifiably concerned that “pirates” might seize control of SBC, they had already seized control of NRB. If you see how Salem Media dictates NRB content; understand how much of Salem’s content is at odds with the Gospel; you see why they canceled Dan Darling.

2. Do a deep dive into the Salem empire. It’s seemingly a hodgepodge of big name Trumpist apologists, Christian Nationalists, AltRight, conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, fascist-friendly goons, trolls, and pseudo-Christian religionists. Massive radio, TV, web presence.

1. There is an interesting, painful, necessary conversation/debate happening among principled Conservatives whom I admire. Some say the #Republican Party was always inherently deeply flawed and that today’s #Trumpist #GQP is simply a natural progression of this process.

2. Others say the #Republican Party was not always a haven for conspiracy theorists, racists, populist nationalists, theocrats; that it once was a party that valued the Constitution, competence, character, and integrity, in addition to Conservative policies.

This will be a difficult thread to write. Another dear friend is dying due to #COVID. He and his son called today, so that he could say goodbye. He spoke with my Dad (who lives with me and my wife), gasping for breath and words. Dad had him on speaker so we could hear. ->

2. Dad had been carving the Thanksgiving turkey. He stopped and listened. His friend wanted to tell my Dad that he believed today was his last day. They have been buddies for almost 40 years. He told my Dad that he loved him and was thankful for their friendship. ->

3. He struggled to speak. So did my Dad, but Dad said he loved him and would see him soon “over there” in Heaven. We were all in tears. His son came back on the line, trying to maintain composure, but his heart is breaking for his Dad. My Dad comforted him, prayed for him, and ->
