Day 11 #GhislaineMaxwellTrial.
GM's def wants to bring 35 witnesses to court, including attorney's for the MVs, no doubt to push false memories but also to try and portray them as money hungry.
There will be character witnesses and other experts, but will her 'spouse' be there?
And will #GhislaineMaxwell take the stand?
Is her legal team confident in putting her on the stand to be cross examined?
Considering her behaviour in civil depositions under oath I suggest not.
She has a history of yelling and talking down to lawyers, including her own.
I recorded all her depositions done in 2016 in the civil defamation case (she settled) brought against her by Virginia Giuffre.

Speaking of her 'spouse' we've been compiling information + links about #ScottBorgerson or Borg as I call him, since we discovered tax docs that had him on the board of #Terramar back in March 2013, months before their first photo at the Arctic Circle.

Here is the link outing their relationship back to at least March of 2013.
The fact he was on tax docs for #Terramar means that #GhislaineMaxwell knew #ScottBorgerson WELL before the first Arctic Circle Conference which most regard as their first meeting.

One of GM's experts is Elizabeth Loftus.
So who is she?
She's a controversial figure and her appearances at conferences has often led to issues.

In 2000 the NZ Psychological Society’s director of scientific affairs, John Read, quit over her appearance!

It clears up a lot of the misinfo or preconceptions floating around SM.
This trial isn't about salacious images or video, it's not about cabals, it's about trafficking charges.

Judge rules that Dr Loftus' can testify, knocking back Gov's proposed exclusions.

Nathan rules NO, that's NO, anonymity for some of #GhislaineMaxwell's witnesses.

As it should be.

Cimberly has been called one of #epstein's executive assistants.
She's still friends with many of his enablers. In fact she's still mates with #LesleyTaylorGroff on FB. Along with other employees.
So her opinion of #GhislaineMaxwell
Espinosa: "I highly respected Ghislaine.

"I looked up to her very much."

Cimberly says she often worked at GM's residence.
She was hired by #epstein.
All this does is tie GM into the trafficking conspiracy which is what these charges are about.

Cimberly asked about other staff she saw other than #GhislaineMaxwell.
She listed Sarah Kellen and Emmy Tayler and then described the office lay out of #Epstein's NY business.
She shared an office with GM and yes she signed a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
With all these NDAs staff signed, were they just to do with JE and are now null and void at his death, or do they also include GM and other employees or associates like, say, lawyers who represented #Epstein at any time?

Three years ago. At the minimum that means there was a close relationship.

While Cimberly says to her knowledge GM didn't live with Epstein. It's well known that GM hosted social events at Epstein's mansion.

When asked how old Jane appeared, Cimberly paused.
Remember she was 14 when first approached by JE and GM.

In my opinion bringing Jane's mother into this is to blame shift or to push the line that Jane's mother was not worried at all about the relationship between her underage daughter and GM and JE.
And now the witness is doxing.
She could have just said moved to another city for work.
But no.

Said headshots are part of the defence's evidence.
These exhibits are sealed. For a reason.

Please if you know the identity of the MV Jane please don't go around sharing images or names.
Now we have cleared up how Cimberly says her name. It's a hard K, like the Welsh C.

Line of questioning moves to #ghislaineMaxwell's relationship with #Epstein from Cimberly's viewpoint. And if it changed.

Next witness for GM is Raghu Sud who is the vice president at Shopper's Travel, the firm used by JE and GM to book commercial flights.
He was asked to authentic travel arrangements.
Now Elizabeth Loftus. The 'false memory' expert who has worked for OJ, Weinstein and a host of others.
She is a controversial figure, not just in the courtroom but amongst her peers.

She has told the court that she has testified in approximately 300 trials since June 3, 1975.

interesting considering the Def trying to trip up various MVs about time lines and why they went back to the Gov with information they forgot in the previous meetings.

Now Loftus wants to show the jury various sites.

Oh is this the media has told lies about GM and JE that has led to false memories?

BTW we made the Def's naughty media list in a letter they docketed in the case for a book we wrote that featured GM.

Interesting: Loftus says she's not a practicing therapist, but she sometimes studies patients.

Wonder if the Gov will ask her what else she does professionally or if trial witness is her main employment.

Maxwell's lawyer want to put in "prior inconsistent statement" of survivor witness Carolyn,

jury is returning and back to Loftus
Loftus's direct examination resumes with testimony about confidence in memory v accuracy.

So Loftus charges $600 an hour.
Her CV is entered into evidence. Gov objected and Judge Nathan over ruled.

It's the media's fault.
Well she hopes she is being paid.
Cross examination starts.
She says she has consulted for the Def 5 or 6 times out of her 300-odd court appearances.
The witness confirms she's testified in about 150 criminal trials, only one of which was for the prosecution.

The prosecutor notes she wrote a book titled "Witness for the Defense."

What everyone wants to know.

AUSA: When you testify for high profile defendants, it brings you more business, right?
Loftus: Maybe.
AUSA: You showed fake photos of Bugs Bunny at Disney, right?
Loftus: Yes.
AUSA: Bugs Bunny is Warner Brothers, but 16% misremembered, right?
Maxwell's lawyer: I object
Side bar and then they return. The shade oh the shade.

AUSA: And the lost in the mall study - 25% misremembered, right?
Loftus: Correct.
AUSA: I'm not going to ask you to describe a rectal enema, but it's a painful procedure, right?
Loftus: Yes.
AUSA: This memory could not easily be implanted

(remember sexual assaults are painful)
So she hasn't done a study then. I see exactly where this is going.

Loftus: We can't implant memories of sexual abuse.

And then a quick redirect and she's off the stand.

The prosecution did well with this one IMHO

Next witness up is Michael William Aznaran who is a Customs and Border Protection.
Maxwell's lawyer says they need a sidebar.
Judge Nathan tells them to wait for the break.
And now it's snack time.

Jurors are excused for afternoon recess as the attorneys discuss evidentiary issues in court.

An 81yo witness??

There's some paper work going on. Also a UK witness needs to be sorted?

So the proposed 35 witnesses?

How can they manage to get through the remainder by Tuesday, which GM's team has said should be the end?
Was that number of witnesses just a furfy to tie up the Gov?
Will the three names mentioned by #GhislaineMaxwell's team - Eva, Michelle and Kelly - turn up today or was that another diversionary tactic?

Day 10 in the #GhislaineMaxwellTrial.
Court will kick off 30 minutes earlier today at 9am. No doubt due to yesterday's early end when a Gov attorney was ill.

So will #AnnieFarmer, MV2, take to the stand today?

Today is also a huge day for survivors of #PeterNygard the Finn Canadian fashion designer who is alleged to have sexually assaulted hundreds if not thousands of women from the 70s until Dec last year when he was arrested in Canada.
"Sexual assault victims in Medieval England faced similar challenges as they would today, says a researcher who studied 28 rape trials from 800 years ago."

Some things don't ever seem to change.

Employee 1 (outed by defence docs as Ms Salazar - Adriana Ross) will no longer be appearing.

Employee 1 was slated to appear to confirm the Black Book, exhibit 52.

Gov contents that testimony by other witnesses has done that thoroughly. #GhislaineMaxwellTrial #GhislaineMaxwell
Key to this is the extensive testimony of #Epstein's former Palm Beach manager, Juan Alessi.
The Gov also presents portions of #GhislaineMaxwell's own April 2016 deposition in the civil defamation case brought against her by Virginia Giuffre.
#GhislaineMaxwell clearly states in her deposition that exhibit 52 was a copy of a 'stolen' document, and the Gov contents this also validates the legitimacy of the exhibit.

On Nov 19 the Defence argued against the exhibit and the inclusion of Employee 1 to legitimize it.

Day 9 #GhislaineMaxwell Trial.

Is this the last day of the Gov's case?

How many times will the Defence name witnesses and survivors who have been granted anonymity?

Will MV2, Annie Farmer, be in court today.

Annie is the only one who has publicly come forward.
With all the name slips it's no wonder so much evidence has been sealed by the Judge.

Survivors don't need to be retraumatised over and over.

Hell yes I want to see these documents, other names, but I also know these survivors owe us nothing.

Centre the survivors, do no harm

Day 8: #GhislaineMaxwellTrial
Prosecutors have said that they may 'rest' their case at the end of this week.
There has been a lot of conjecture that means it's a show trial, along with many stating that the evidence will be destroyed.

What exactly does that mean?

Oct 12 - a joint letter to Judge Nathan about the estimated length of the trial.
The Gov requested that jurors be available over the holiday break.

"The Government estimates that it would rest within four weeks from the start of the trial. That estimate is conservative" ImageImage
That means that the Gov was making sure that all eventualities were covered. That jurors were chosen who could be there as long as needed. For testimony and a long deliberation if needed.

Will the defence be able to call Glassman to try and somehow link compensation for assaults by #epstein into proving that GM didn't abuse or traffic anyone?
Of course we know they just want to show survivors as money hungry

In other cases - #AlanDershowitz has been accused of allegedly withholding THOUSANDS of emails regarding #Epstein and others in discovery in the civil defamation case #VirginiaGiuffre brought against him. #Dershowitz
