Stay calm and get #vaccinated
Do NOT trust bogus media reports claiming 'expired vaccines' are being administered in #India
As usual, such reports are false and malicious, aimed at creating vaccine hesitancy so media can harvest #COVID19 horror stories and profit from them.

Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of #India, had earlier approved extension of shelf life of Covaxin and Covishield vaccines to 12 months and 9 months, respectively.

The extension of shelf life of Covaxin and Covishield was widely publicised in 2021. It has been common knowledge.
Yet, some misleading reports have appeared, falsely alleging expired vaccines are being administered in #India under its national vaccination programme.

Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on 25 October 2021, in response to Bharat Biotech International Limited’s letter (BBIL/RA/21/567) had approved the extension of shelf life of Covaxin (whole virion, inactivated Coronavirus vaccine) from 9 months to 12 months.

The shelf life of Covishield was extended by Central Drugs Standard Control Organization from 6 months to 9 months on 22 February 2021.
The shelf life of vaccines is extended by national regulator CDSCO based on comprehensive analysis and examination of stability study data.

On 5 Jan 2022 morning PM @narendramodi landed at Bathinda from where he was to go to the National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala by helicopter. Due to rain and poor visibility, the Prime Minister waited for about 20 minutes for the weather to clear out.

Due to bad weather, it was decided that PM @narendramodi would visit National Marytrs Memorial via road, which would take more than two hours. He proceeded to travel by road after confirmation of necessary security arrangements by DGP Punjab Police.

30 km away from National Martyrs Memorial in Hussainiwala, when PM @narendramodi ’s convoy reached a flyover, it was found that the road was blocked by some protestors.
PM was stuck on the flyover for 15-20 minutes. This was a major lapse in PM's security.

In a bold move that has the potential of transforming the lives of women and girls in #India, and is a step forward in the direction of gender equality, the Union Cabinet has approved a Bill to make the age of marriage for both men and women 21 years.

Union Government will now introduce the Bill—‘The Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021’—in Parliament for amendments in ‘The Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 (PCMA)’ for making the age of marriage equal at 21 years for both males and females.

The Fundamental Rights and Directive Principles of State Policy (particularly the Right to Equality and Right against Exploitation) in #Constitution of #India guarantees gender equality. The proposed legislation will bring women on equal footing with men.

In view of #Covid19 variant of concern #Omicron and as part of regular of monitoring public health emergency preparation Union Government reviews commissioning, installation & functional status of medical oxygen equipment provided by Centre to States/UTs.

During the review with States/UTs, the Centre reiterated that uninterrupted supply of medical oxygen is of critical importance. States/UTs were asked to check preparedness regarding PSA Plants, LMO Plants, Oxygen Concentrators, Medical Gas Pipeline Systems.

Union Government has assisted States/UTs with medical oxygen equipment, technical and financial support for PSA plants, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, oxygen cylinders, Liquid Medical Oxygen plants and Medical Gas Pipeline systems.

Have you heard of Saryu Nahar National Project? You wouldn't have because it did not fit into media's agenda. This project had been lying 'pending' for nearly 40 years. It has now been completed in 4 years.

Data shows Modi Govt strategy on fighting #Maoist #Red terrorism & putting down #Left extremism in #India is working.
Incidents of Maoist terrorism have come down by 70% from all time high of 2258 incidents in 2009 (when Sonia Gandhi's NAC was dictating policy) to 665 in 2020.

Significantly deaths (Civilians + Security Forces) caused by #Maoist #Red terrorism have declined by 80% from all time high of 1005 in 2010 (when Digvijay Singh got Sonia Gandhi to halt anti-#Naxal ops) to 183 in 2020.

Geographical spread of #Maoist terrorism has also declined to 53 districts across 9 States, compared to 76
districts across 10 States in 2013. Declining trend in incidents of #Left extremist and #Naxal violence and its geographical spread continues in 2021.
