Very relieved to be corrected by @john3ners and others - the Dickensian undertaker wasn’t at Balliol it was his dad (yeah, still not great I know).
On the plus side we also had Healey, Heath, Jenkins and Graham Greene & Aldous Huxley and, best of all, Christopher Hitchens.
Ironically Balliol was always known as a left wing hothouse of rebellion.

For the ‘party of law and order’, they didn’t half giggle, roar and bray a lot in Parliament earlier, just a day after their PM and his top cabal of advisors were literally placed under formal investigation by the police.
