#Breaking Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz just landed in Manama to sign a landmark security agreement with #Bahrain
Notably the visit also comes as Israel is involved in the largest naval drill in the region, which began in #Bahrain and involves 60 countries
Gantz is set to sign a memorandum of understanding with his Bahraini counterpart #Bahrain #Israel
Gantz will also visit the headquarters of the US 5th Fleet, which is at the center of the exercise
Gantz came with a delegation that includes the commander of the Israeli navy, VAdm. David Saar Salama

Yes, the Houthis' motto is "Death to #Israel" but there is also a more "rational" explanation as to why the Houthis and their backers (Iran) would want to send a clear message during the visit >>
To me, this is meant to send a message to Abu Dhabi that it shouldn't cross certain red lines when it comes to cooperation with #Israel, particularly when it comes to the military/security aspect.

Summary of last night in #Gaza & #Israel:
- 190 rockets fired towards #Israel from 19:00 to 07:00 this morning
- #Israel launched major air and ground strike using 180 planes plus 7th Armored brigade. Strikes focused on northern #Gaza, including tunnels network.

- Hamas-run Health Ministry reported 119 dead, including 31 children, 830 wounded. #Israeli claims would suggest most of the dead are fighters, which might have been true before, but also true that recent artillery strikes seem to have caused far more civilian casualties.
- Rocket barrages against #Israel focused on southern #Israel. No barrage against central region.
- Does this mean #Hamas and PIJ arsenal has been seriously hit (as IDF claims) or that they are now pacing themselves understanding conflict will be more protracted than expected?>
