At the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) protest in June 2020, protesters said that every second home in #Balochistan has been afflicted with a missing person and receiving a disfigured dead body has become a norm. 2/8

#Balochistan is the most deprived region of Pakistan and the govt has done nothing for development. The state sponsored death squads are committing atrocities regularly under the umbrella of the #PakistanArmy. 3/8

In 2014 alone, as many as 455 people, who were forcibly abducted, tortured & killed by the Pakistani security forces & intelligence services, and their bodies dumped.The proxy terrorist organisations & death squads of Pakistan has made Balochistan hell for the Baloch people. 4/8

During the consultations by the @UNHumanRights Commission of #Pakistan wth the families of the disappeared people in Quetta,thy found tht families of missing persons living in remote areas,& in not so remote areas such as Kalat,ddn’t hve the means to register thr complaints. 5/8

In last 2 decades over 20,000 Balochis hv been abducted & numerous killed by the Pakistan Army.This hs made Balochistan the dubious distinction of being the world capital of enforced disappearances wre more than 2000 journalists hve been forcibly abducted & killed since 2009. 6/8

Every third home in #Balochistan lived under the fear that the security forces could pick up their male family members at any time, whether or not a shred of evidence existed against them. 7/8

#Kashmiris should thank India as #IndianArmy Was there to protect them when Pakistan attacked in 1947. #Balochistan was not so lucky.They got attacked by same Pakitan Army and in absence of friends like India,got occupied and continue to suffer till day said Baloch Activist. 8/8
