Mapping movements with timings, this photo seems to have been taken prior to deployment, maybe on the day of deployment? Carrying bags means departure and taking a photo of all 3 means it's an important day. (left to Right: Tushaev, Martynov, Mezhidov) 
Individual amongst Chechens. No patches/rankings. No weapons showing meaning he may not be interested in fighting. (mentor?). Look at the Chechen Republic aide's body language, knees are bent, facing forward, this guy may be higher up in rank. Facial rec confidence level is high.
We can probably assume that the photo was very recent, taken on the day or day prior to deployment, as Gen. Tushaev is wearing the same clothes. Comparison was made with other Ru trousers, none have the same pattern. Beard has same pattern. #patterns #osint #imint
