Some quick tips on the last day of the financial year for #taxsaving

1. Get additional 50K deduction by investing in NPS. You can pay via your credit card as well.

2. You may do tax loss harvesting- sell shares at loss to & offset it against gain already booked. Reduces tax on STCG.

3. Tuition fees paid for 2 kids is allowed as deduction u/s 80C.

4. Medical Treatment for Certain Illness (80DDB)

A deduction of almost Rs. 40,000 is available if you are being treated for some specific diseases listed under the Section 80DDB.

5. If you're a salaried employee get more TDS deducted u/s 192 to avoid paying interest on tax dues.

Keep in mind that self-assessment tax dues are calculated after subtracting TDS, TCS & advance tax paid from total tax payable for a fin year.

1. Maximum Coverage

There are several crucial points like the room rent, ambulance cover, etc. which have an expense limit associated with it in TnC of the policy.

Choose a plan which covers all the essential pointers and an extensive range of diseases.
2. Claim Process

Research company’s background, the network of hospitals, settlement process, company’s management, claim settlement ratio etc.
