π Many businesses were legislated to either use the #NHS#COVID19 app or allow customers to 'sign-in' for Test & Trace.
But of course this wasn't about your health, this was measuring citizens compliance re: #vaccinepassports & #DigitalID
π¦ If we're supposed to be 'Living with COVID' & restoring freedoms, then why do we need to maintain these surveillance measures that will do nothing to limit the spread of a now endemic virus.
βοΈπ»#VaccinePassports have not been defeated & won't be until they're de-commissioned from the #NHS app, never to return.
#DHSC continue to retain the domestic COVID-Pass for a 'limited period'. But that could be anything from 6-12 months at least. We need more answers.
We believe one of two things could be adopted later this year if we don't remain vigilant & defiant against such measures:
1β£ The redeployment of the #NHS#COVID19 app for certain businesses & events.
2β£ The domestic Covid-Pass returning to the statute book 'temporarily'.
For those who want the TL;DR version instead of the thread above:
After previous pandemics, e.g. SARS, it's normal practice to update & strengthen global health security & overall preparedness
The International Health Regulations were updated & adopted in 2005, coming into force in 2007.
There was no need for a separate 'pandemic treaty'.
All 194 WHO member nations have a legal obligation to uphold the IHR (2005), but this doesn't mean the WHO can interfere or bypass national sovereignty.
If all nation members followed their obligations over the past two years we would have seen much less restrictions.. (contd.)
β½οΈ No indicative timescale clarified as to whether domestic, voluntary COVID-status certification will end. All we're told is it will 'therefore remain'.
(contd.)
β½οΈ Even though @scotgov advised businesss' who opt to use voluntary certification to be clear about their objectives checking COVID-status, doesn't make the scheme *itself* justifiable or proportionate to continue.
β½οΈ Intl #CovidPass will remain for 'at least' another year.
β½οΈ 'Helping customers feel safe' is an example of creating an artifical, nonsensical 'demand' for certification, which does *nothing* to prevent spread of #SARSCoV2.
β½οΈ Blaming a virus for 'inequality' is ridiculous. Govt overrection caused more damage than #COVID19.
𧡠If @ReutersFacts conclude that our content was 'partly false', then maybe they could explain why they cherry picked info from #Zelenskyy but left out Digital Minister @FedorovMykhailo.
We'll fact check the 'fact-checkers' more below ‡οΈ
1β£ The ePidtrymka (eSupport) scheme was launched within the 'Diia' app on 19th Dec 2021 to incentivise Ukrainians who received a #COVID19 jab. The amount was 1000 UAH (Β£25).
It's a service portal in line with the 'Action' or 'Diia' {Govt) app, for Ukrainian citizens aged 14+ to receive a 1000 UAH incentive once they're fully vaccinated, have a 'green certificate' & a special bank card.
3β£ EU admit that #SARSCoV2 can break immunity. Non approved WHO jabs & the 'recovered' are asked to take a pre-departure PCR.
4β£ "Member States can continue accepting, under their own national law, proof of testing and vaccination issued by non-EU countries"
5β£ "Priority will be given to vaccinated travellers" - the EU continue to adopt a two-tiered societal approach.
6β£ Zero reference to 'unvaccinated'. Main focus is on jabbed & recovered. We can only assume unjabbed will continue to be requested to test & quarantine.
