THREAD Thank you @nmdacosta. We too were surprised to hear this. We all remember her dismal performance on the @MumsnetTowers where she refused to answer urgent questions on child #safeguarding. The only thing worse than Penny’s performance was when @NSPCC refused to show up.

responsibility to our female children and urgently commission thorough and robust impact assessments and then commission independent guidelines to ensure that the human rights of all children are upheld in our schools?

17) @PennyMordaunt Please could I kindly suggest a review of all educational interfaces with organisations such as [Stonewall, Gendered Intelligence etc and ensure any training materials are fully legally compliant with the specifics of EA2010?  @educationgovuk

18) @PennyMordaunt LEAs should undergo formal legal compliance reviews (maintaining compulsory inclusion of biological sex as protected characteristic in all their paperwork at the very least) given they frequently inform safeguarding and data collection policies at local level.

19) @PennyMordaunt Why do you think that we and our daughters have no right to privacy, dignity and safety by having single sex spaces?

That is a mere 20 of the questions put to @PennyMordaunt on @MumsnetTowers over THREE years ago that she failed to answer. She did however mindlessly repeat the cult mantra of #TranswomanAreWoman to desperate & scared women, many of whom were mothers of children being harmed.

So we are absolutely APPALLED that @PennyMordaunt should try & run on a platform of women’s rights & child #safeguarding it is incredibly disingenuous. The #safeguardingfail that has been perpetrated under the last 12 years of @Conservatives is abhorrent. The only thing worse…

is @UKLabour’s abject failure to call it out - they’ve not been in opposition; they’ve been missing in action. With notable exceptions such as @RosieDuffield1 @ToniaAntoniazzi @LabWomenDec @LesbianLabour Labour has done absolutely NOTHING to address this #safeguardingfail
