Yuliia Paievska, aka Taira, is a #Ukrainian medic, volunteer, designer, and aikido teacher 🇺🇦 When the #Russian army invaded #Mariupol, Taira was helping the people of the city.

In March, she was trying to evacuate women and children from the besieged city. That's when the Russian invaders recognized her.

In captivity, Taira was kept in the 3x6 meter (10x20 foot) cell with 22 other women. Inside the high-security prison, they were forced to sing the /2

Russian national anthem two-three times a day,sometimes up to 20-30 times. Prisoners were constantly beaten, didn't have adequate food, and were psychologically pressured.

Den 18/7 klockan 08:30 Ukrainsk tid, stupade mina kamrater Löjtnant Edvard Selander Patrignani, Luke Mitchell Lucyszyn, Bryan Keith Young, och Émile-Antoine Roy-Sirois i strid. /1

Uppgiften var att förbereda eldöverfall på fientligt infanteri som var inkommande. De vägrade att lämna varandra och var med varandra in i det sista. Edvard och Luke stod mig närmast och det fanns ingen tvekan om att vi skulle ha umgåtts allesammans efter krigets slut.

▶️ The armed forces of the #Russian Federation shelled #Nikopol again at night, firing more than 30 shells from the Grad anti-aircraft missile system. As a result of the shelling, two people were killed and nine were injured.
