2/ When I was 18, before I started the army, I had the opportunity to #volunteer, for almost two years, at the Shalva National Center in Jerusalem
3/ Shalva’s state-of-the-art facility in Jerusalem provides a magical after-school recreation center, which services thousands of children with #disabilities, from infancy to adulthood, and their families, every day. shalva.org
4/ But Shalva is not like any other organization I’ve ever worked with.
It starts with the people.
5/ Have you ever been to a place where every single person is incredible? At Shalva, literally, every staff member, volunteer, parent, or child has the most amazing attitude and persona. The environment there is so warm that it's addictive - and you just never want to leave.
6/ The second thing that sets them aside from other organizations is their uncompromising determination to do everything the best - the best staff, the best facilities, the best food, and the best care. It’s truly a magical place.
7/ In addition to being incredibly generous and creative, Shalva is also notoriously forward-thinking. So I wasn’t surprised when @GabyHirsch4 approached me with several ideas on how Shalva can embrace #web3, #blockchain, and @crypto and the innovative products that come w/it.
8/ As a first step, we decided to add the ability for Shalva to accept donations in cryptocurrency. Crypto donations can be sent to GiveShalva.eth (currently available for Ethereum mainnet only - but we will have additional functionality through @TheGivingBlock ASAP).
9/ While working with the Shalva team, I found out that they were working on sending a team of 60 runners from Israel to the NYC Marathon.
I’ve been running since I was 9 years old and while I never aspired to run a full marathon, this was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up on.
10/ Like I said, Shalva only do things the BEST - 2 years ago they sent a team of children with disabilities to the @Eurovision. -
11/ Help me reach my goal of 12 ETH. Thank you for your support!
12/ For those who prefer not to send to an ENS, full wallet address is: 0x85567738C33bB223097faA2b2C1aE462e7D686A7
All crypto donors will receive a special limited edition @poapxyz NFT as a token of my appreciation.
13/ Finally, if you can't/don't want to donate, please help me spread the word, by liking/sharing this post and/or my LinkedIn post: linkedin.com/posts/ijhammer…
Thank you!!!

1/ #CC0: What is it and what does it mean for NFT creators and holders?
My two cents, in a 39-tweet 🧵👇
2/ As a commercial #lawyer, with a strong background in #intellectualproperty, the #NFT industry has been a fascinating case study in the development and evolution of IP rights related to digital artworks and other media formats.
3/ Lots of threads have been published regarding the big question of whether NFTs in general and generative artworks, in particular, are copyrightable under US law.
If you haven't, you can start by watching my recent lecture at @EthCC, Paris, last month:
3/ However, I’ve been on Twitter long enough to know that there are some ppl who will NEVER click on a Medium article, no matter what the subject is, but love a good thread, so, for the benefit of you all, read on… (@BirdnalsNFT, you’re going to like this one 😜)
