Russian gas blackmail designed to force the West into making concessions to Russia in the former’s policy of support to Ukraine is complemented by a psychological operation. The major goals of this Russian effort are as follows:

Russians seek to sow fear in the hearts of Western societies by spreading the vision of a nuclear disaster. To this end, the Kremlin is pushing narratives about a threat of a nuclear war or radioactive fallout as a result of shelling of #Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
