My research & surveys suggest that official results of #referendums to join #Russia are inflated in separatist #Donbas & fabricated in Kherson & Zaporizhzhia Regions: "99.23% "yes" in DNR, 98.42% LNR, 93.11% Zaporizhzhia Region & 87.05% Kherson Region." 1/ strana.news/news/409310-it…
As I said in my interview, "official results of referendums concerning joining Russia, can be only resounding “yes” no matter what actual views of the people are." #UkraineWar#Ukraine️ 2/ academia.edu/87436946/Inter…
My research & KMIS survey that I commissioned in Spring 2014 showed marginal support for joining #Russia in #Kherson & #Zaporizhzhia regions, but majority support for various forms of separatism, including joining Russia, in separatist republics in #Donbaswashingtonpost.com/news/monkey-ca…
It's difficult to judge exact level of public support for joining Russia in these regions. Many people might not reveal their opposition to joining Russia in polls and are likely to abstain from voting during the ongoing war. And a large number of pro-Ukrainian residents left. 5/
As I said in interview, referendum results are inflated in #Donbas & fabricated in #Kherson & #Zaporizhzhia because "referendums followed by Putin’s statements in his TV address are clear signs that Russia would annex these regions of Ukraine. And they are held during the war" 6/
In contrast to about 1/2 of ethnic Russian population in #Donbas, they are minority in #Kherson & #Zaporizhzhia regions. Like with Crimea & Donbas referendums in 2014, Western & other countries, with few exceptions, won’t recognize referendums, their results & Russian annexation.

How can people deny false-flag Maidan massacre in Ukraine despite overwhelming evidence, such as testimonies of absolute majority of wounded Maidan protesters, over 500 witnesses & 14 members of Maidan sniper groups, videos & forensic experts examinations? researchgate.net/publication/35…
Another self-proclaimed expert on Maidan massacre, far-right & Donbas war relies on Twitter to proclaim his opinion & deny or dismiss overwhelming evidence and scholarly studies of these issues. Tweeting is cheap.
They continue denying & dismissing evidence even after government ballistic experts confirmed my Maidan massacre study findings & determined that dozens of Maidan protesters were killed & wounded from Maidan-controlled buildings & not by Berkut.
Article in US newspaper concerning my Maidan massacre study: "Neither [European, Ukrainian and United States press or Russian press] has it right, according to Ukrainian scholar, Ivan Katchanovski, a leading academic researcher on Euromaidan." #Ukraine 1/ concordmonitor.com/My-Turn-The-in…
"To understand the violent climax to the Maidan Uprising on February 20 when 49 Maidan protesters and three police were killed and many more wounded, we turn to Katchanovski’s non-partisan research in The ‘Snipers’ Massacre, based on a massive collection of data..." #Ukraine 2/
"including thousands of journalist, protester, and police videos; forensic analysis of gunshot wounds; interviews with injured protesters and police; and analysis of Ukrainian government investigations and testimony." #Ukraine 3/
Radio host at @NEWSTALK1010 in Toronto said during my live radio interview today concerning #UkraineRussiaWar that I am apparently a top trend on Google. I said during interview that #Zelenskyy's call to hold #Russian leaders legally accountable is unlikely to bring results. 1/
@NEWSTALK1010 Russia can veto any resolution of UN Security Council, and it does not recognize jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and the European Court of Human Rights. Economic sanctions negatively affected Russia. But they won't make #Russia end the war with #Ukraine. 2/
And Western economic sanctions along with Russian counter-measures negatively impacted the economies of the EU and many other countries which rely on imports of Russian oil and natural gas. #Ukraine#UkraineRussianWar#Russia#UkraineRussiaWar 3/
I noted in @globalnews TV interview that #Putin's address concerning #RussianUkrainianWar war is most important development in #Russian policy on this issue since start of illegal Russian invasion of #Ukraine in February 2022. 1/
@globalnews#Putin's statement about partial mobilization, annexation of separatist-controlled #Donbas & Russian-occupied #Kherson & #Zaporizhzhia regions of #Ukraine & threat to use nuclear weapons suggests that #Russia is willing to escalate conflict significantly in order to win war. 2/
As I predicted, address by #Putin suggests that #Russia plans to annex separatist-controlled #Donbas and Russian-occupied #Kherson and #Zaporizhzhia regions and other regions in Eastern and Southern #Ukraine that it would manage to occupy. 3/
"President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday ordered Russia's first mobilisation since World War Two and backed a plan to annex swathes of Ukraine, warning the West he was not bluffing when he said he'd be ready to use nuclear weapons to defend Russia." 1/ usnews.com/news/world/art…
"In the biggest escalation of the Ukraine war since Moscow's Feb. 24 invasion, Putin explicitly raised the spectre of a nuclear conflict, approved a plan to annex a chunk of territory from Ukraine the size of Hungary, and called up 300,000 reservists." 2/
"If the territorial integrity of our country is threatened, we will without doubt use all available means to protect Russia and our people - this is not a bluff," Putin said in a televised address to the nation. Putin said, without providing detailed evidence, that..." 3/
Point of no return: Separatist DNR & LNR leaders & Russian-appointed heads of occupied #Kherson & #Zaporizhzhia regions announce referendums on September 23-27 to join Russia. This is sign that #Russia would annex these regions of #Ukraine. strana.news/news/408302-vl…
