.@MultiversX is a better base layer for the global economy than #Ethereum. Why? Because #MultiversX has robust primitives to build upon. Let's take one example with token standards: ESDT vs. ERC-20. 📚🧵
Anyone holding a large amount of $ETH would violently disagree; technically speaking, this is quite objective if we want crypto to grow. ESDT, with the transition to #MultiversX, is now eStandard Digital Tokens.

Besides fragmented scaling or lack of it, ERC-20 token smart contracts have been the root of wallets inadvertently being drained. Because of #MultiversX accounts and ESDT (native assets), no smart code needs to be executed dealing with tokens.

On #Ethereum dApps can spend your tokens without your consent. revoke.cash is a dApp to help you revoke these token approvals. This is simply now possible on @MultiversX further demonstrating a superior design.

@ulamlabs published an excellent article on why you shouldn't use ERC-20s. They eventually advocate for #Algorand Standard Assets (ASA) vs. ERC-20. @MultiversX vs. @Algorand is not a subject to be debated here, but I would recommend ESDTs, obviously.

An audit to review the logic & implementation has also been completed by @rv_inc for ESDTs; adding additional assurances that unexpected behavior or exploits are not possible.

From a user perspective, ESDTs make blockchain accessible. I shouldn't need to spend $10-$20 for a simple token transfer. More exchanges and dApps should continue to integrate ESDTs in 2023+.

#Ethereum has provided a great playground to experience smart contract blockchains. Even with fixed scaling, the ERC-20 token standard will remain a problem.

Choosing ESDT is a vote toward mass adoption.

Why am I looking forward to #HatomStaked $EGLD, aka $HsEGLD? Well, it's a supercharged way to secure the @MultiversX Network and participate in DeFi. @HatomProtocol will build multiple DeFi primitives to kick off the next adoption wave. ⚡️🧠🧵
Wen $HsEGLD? First, @HatomProtocol needs to establish a secure & robust liquid staking mechanism on @MultiversX. They are working with the core team & @rv_inc on this development. $sEGLD will be the Universal Liquid Staked $EGLD.

The most exciting part of crypto is the subtle insight that #Ethereum EVM ERC-20 ERC-721 ERC-1155 EIP-1559 Beacon Chain & Solidity represent the initial conclusions of smart contract blockchain experimentation. At the same time, these primitives can be reimagined & expanded upon.
Whether #Cardano, #Polkadot, #Cosmos, or #MultiversX, there is plenty of room for builders to continue to experiment and move beyond the conventional understanding of a smart contract blockchain.
If scaling #Ethereum EVM & fixing poor UX was the only problem. Might as well allocate to $ETH & do something else.
