Rescuers are still working in #Dnipro, into the 4th day of sifting through the rubble. All hope of finding anyone still alive looks to have evaporated now.
The death toll remains at 40. Others are still reported to be missing.
Oleksiy @arestovych has resigned from his position of Adviser to #Ukraine's President
Arestovych apologised for his "error" of saying the #Dnipro disaster may have been caused by an anti-aircraft missile hitting the Russian Cruise rocket.
Calls for his resignation grew.
If you were with me in the early hours of the morning (or diligently read the thread since then!), you'll remember this overnight excitement in #Belgorod region.
The Governor claims only power lines were damaged.
Very little has happened today in #Ukraine, which is a good thing.
Not even politically much new to report.
The rescue operation at Dnipro concluded earlier today. These are the innocent children who lost their lives because of a Russian missile.
Warning - very emotional video.
A tearful Grandfather in #Dnipro shows his anger at #Russia after the loss of his one year old grandchild.
He wishes all Russians to suffer because of the pain they spread.
#RussiaOnFire - all the hallmarks of an insurance job
The idea of #Russia's largest 5-star hotel being in #Siberia, and of all places in non-descript #Manzherok always looked stupid.
Now, with no tourist trade, the 304-bed hotel spontaneously combusted just before completion.
Punch him in the face and say: "Excuse me, it was your air defense that didn't work, I thought it was a military base, and in general, what are you doing on NATO territory?! F*ck off!"
The pressure on #Ukraine's defenders in #Bakhmut grows each day as #Wagner and regular troops from #Russia's army pour in to the hot zone.
Speaking of being at the front, here's a cool story and a decent listen too.
Sorry there are no subtitles for the interview bit, but everyone will understand! #Ukraine #HeroiamSlava
Mayor of #Dnipro thinks the true death toll in the apartment block massacre may be over 50.
Boris Filatov thinks the mixture of cold night and burning rocket fuel may have literally removed all trace of some residents.
The official death toll from #Russia's missile is 45
Great to see #Russia's embassy in Sweden acknowledging the four occupied regions of mainland #Ukraine, and even #Crimea, as still belonging to Ukraine!
Putin's response was to bomb the cr*p out of Ukraine's capital again overnight.
It's decency against inhumanity. Which side are you on?
Welcome to THE daily thread.
Wednesday was a fairly quiet day, punctuated by the odd Russian missile attack, before another enormous attack centre on Kyiv.. and it's still going on.
But Ukraine hit back in Russia.

Tuesday 29 July. Day 1252.
Documenting all the important stories and developments in Ukraine's ongoing fight for survival against an invading horde.
Every Single Day. No break, no days off.
All the news from the war in Europe, all the time.
Monday was probably a better day for Ukraine.
We saw Trump appear to lose patience with indicted war criminal Putin, we saw a Ukraine flag replanted in one reclaimed village & late in the thread more strikes on Russia's rail infrastructure.
I'll begin in Rostov region, where earlier Ukraine hit railway infrastructure in the town of Salsk.
Pretty much the whole of the rail network in Rostov oblast is crucial to Russia's military. The proximity to occupied parts of Ukraine & the route to Crimea run through here.
Day 1247
It's never ending. At least it feels like it after another sleepless night and "peace talks" that lasted 40 minutes and Russia still refusing Trump's demand for a ceasefire, which Ukraine agreed to 135 days ago.
All the news, all the time, it's the daily Ukraine🧵
A quick reminder if you appreciate my work (and lack of sleep) you can donate coffee via the link in my bio🙏
But this is the link you probably really want! To check back on all yesterday's news, especially when Russia was attacked late at night.
You've found the start of another daily thread. I've not missed one day since Russia's full invasion, bringing all the Ukraine news in one handy thread every single day.
It's Day 1246, let's begin.
A late finish last night for me (yeah, not unusual), so a later start.
But not due to a massive Russian attack, but because of the political situation & public backlash
Another bumper thread, big Ukraine street protests for the 1st time in years in here
The biggest thing today will hopefully be the resumption of talks between Ukraine and Russia.
The meeting will again take place in Istanbul, starting at 7pm UKR time, 5PM BST, noon EST.
Venue is the Çırağan Palace - can't wait to hear reporters butcher that name😂 [Cheer-raan]
Day 1245
One thousand, two hundred + forty-five days of battling to survive against what was said to be the world's 2nd greatest army.
Ukraine's resistance has been heroic but still a lot of work to do.
I'm starting Tuesday's thread before sleep as the air attack just ended.
Monday's thread was another 50-post marathon
A lot of problems for Russia, with drones, planes, trains and the elements. But another major Ukraine city was hit in the early hours of this morning.
