Day 328 and the war continues.
So do the war crimes.

This is my 328th daily thread with the news from #Ukraine as #Russia seeks to destroy a nation, a culture.

Quite a bit of late news yesterday - catch up here:

No rest for the wicked they say.
That was true in #Oslo overnight where it was loud outside #Russia's consulate.

#RussiaIsATerroristState

Also loud in #Russia, at least in #Belgorod region.

Air Defence spent a long time trying to catch something in the sky.
2/2

They claim they got something in the end.
This is reportedly the remains of what was shot down by #Russia's air defence in #Belgorod.
This story from late last night deserves highlighting again in today's thread.

Another war crime in #Kherson region.

#RussiaIsATerroristState

The USA's Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman arrived in #Kyiv late Monday.

US Ambassador to #Ukraine Bridget Brink accompanied her to meetings with officials from the President's Office and Defence Dept.

#StandWithUkraine #StopRussia

Still waiting for more details about the big explosion in #Donetsk region last last night too.

#Khartsyzsk, just a few kilometres away, was hit. The Occupiers have given scant details so far.

#RussiansGoHome
Rescuers are still working in #Dnipro, into the 4th day of sifting through the rubble. All hope of finding anyone still alive looks to have evaporated now.

The death toll remains at 40. Others are still reported to be missing.

#RussiaIsATerroristState
Not much change on the frontlines.
Things looking better around #Kreminna than in #Bakhmut

A propagandist from #Russia's Army TV channel showed how the invaders control the upper ground outside Bakhmut.

He also points out bullet holes on a car said to be abandoned by Ukrainians
A woman in #Kherson shows the damage her home suffered during the night.

Every evening and usually in the early hours of the new day too, #Russia consistently shells the southern #Ukraine city.
Massive losses reported again for #Russia. 870 more died on the battlefield yesterday according to #Ukraine's estimates.

Over 5,000 killed in just 8 days.

That new draft may be coming soon!

#RussiansGoHome
#Russia is slammed by British intelligence for its use of unguided, or inaccurate, missiles. One of these killed 40 people in the #Dnipro outrage.

#RussiaIsATerroristState
#Ukraine's Southern Command says there's a record breaking number of cruise missile laden ships and missiles in the Black Sea right now.

More Russian ships have left ports in the last 24 hours. There's now a total of 44 Kalibr missiles ready to hit Ukraine.
#Dnipro

This morning the body of another child has been recovered from the ruined apartment block.

The discovery on the 4th floor takes the total number of victims to 41 (four children)

79 people were injured, 39 have been rescued.

#RussiaIsATerroristState
Oleksiy @arestovych has resigned from his position of Adviser to #Ukraine's President

Arestovych apologised for his "error" of saying the #Dnipro disaster may have been caused by an anti-aircraft missile hitting the Russian Cruise rocket.

Calls for his resignation grew.
If you were with me in the early hours of the morning (or diligently read the thread since then!), you'll remember this overnight excitement in #Belgorod region.

The Governor claims only power lines were damaged.

Not snow, but more thermite munitions inflicted on the people of #Kherson this morning.

These are not permitted near civilians or civilian infrastructure.

#RussiaIsATerroristState #SaveUkraine
#Dnipro update on a grim morning.

More bodies have been recovered from the 4th floor as emergency workers delve further into the ruins.

44 people are now known to have been killed when #Russia hit the apartment block.
In #Moscow not everyone agrees with the Terroist State.

Flowers accompanied a photo of the #Dnipro massacre at the monument to #Ukraine writer Lesia Ukrainka.

While blue and yellow ribbons on more flowers left opposite the FSB building in #Russia's capital.

#StopRussia
The demolition of the apartment block hit by a Russian missile, continues in #Dnipro.

Death toll: 44

#RussiaIsATerroristState
Very little has happened today in #Ukraine, which is a good thing.

Not even politically much new to report.
The rescue operation at Dnipro concluded earlier today. These are the innocent children who lost their lives because of a Russian missile.
Warning - very emotional video.

A tearful Grandfather in #Dnipro shows his anger at #Russia after the loss of his one year old grandchild.

He wishes all Russians to suffer because of the pain they spread.
#RussiaOnFire - all the hallmarks of an insurance job

The idea of #Russia's largest 5-star hotel being in #Siberia, and of all places in non-descript #Manzherok always looked stupid.

Now, with no tourist trade, the 304-bed hotel spontaneously combusted just before completion.
A contribution from anonymous source in #Ukraine

What to do when you see a Russian in the EU?

Punch him in the face and say: "Excuse me, it was your air defense that didn't work, I thought it was a military base, and in general, what are you doing on NATO territory?! F*ck off!"
The pressure on #Ukraine's defenders in #Bakhmut grows each day as #Wagner and regular troops from #Russia's army pour in to the hot zone.
Speaking of being at the front, here's a cool story and a decent listen too.

Sorry there are no subtitles for the interview bit, but everyone will understand!
#Ukraine
#HeroiamSlava
Earlier today Netherlands PM @MinPres indicated to #USA that he wanted to give Patriot to #Ukraine.

Now President Zelenskyy confirms it's happening.

Mayor of #Dnipro thinks the true death toll in the apartment block massacre may be over 50.

Boris Filatov thinks the mixture of cold night and burning rocket fuel may have literally removed all trace of some residents.

The official death toll from #Russia's missile is 45
Great to see #Russia's embassy in Sweden acknowledging the four occupied regions of mainland #Ukraine, and even #Crimea, as still belonging to Ukraine!

Day 1301 of Ukraine fighting for its survival. The right to be free, speak their own language, worship in their own churches, to learn their own history.

A history of long suppression by Russia.
As war crimes grow daily, the words "never again" don't seem to apply.
Here's the🧵
Yesterday began, and ended, with Russia attacking Zaporizhzhia, injuring civilians.

Also, the head of the IAEA disgraced himself in Russia's arms, changes of 🇺🇦army leadership, and how a Russian guy was a Putin opponent, until 3 mins after being elected.

First though a breaking news after a number of morning attacks by Russia, particularly in Kyiv region.

This is in the town of Fastiv where a logistics centre for the electronic retail company EpiCentre (EpiTsentr).

Residents are warned of potential air pollution. Image

Day 1300 of Putin's war.
Another 100 days of fighting completed.
We are no nearer peace than we were 100 days ago.

Almost 200 days ago Trump demanded a 30-day unconditional ceasefire.
Not surprising as he started it, it's always Putin stopping peace.

Here's Monday's daily🧵
If you were busy over the weekend, click the link to see all Sunday's stories.

It was a day when Ukraine had to quickly repair a main railway line after a massive explosion, but they also managed to make multiple hits on Russia's rail and oil industries

The overnight bombardment from Russia remained lower than usual, although 84 drones and 3 S-300 missiles caused a fair bit of damage on 'soft' targets

With 59 UAVs stopped, that's a 70% success rate.
None of the missiles was intercepted either

The 28 hits occurred in 13 places Image

Day 1299 - the daily thread starts here, covering all things to do with the illegal invasion of Ukraine by its demonic neighbour.

Plenty to catch up on due to the late start today.
So no time to waste, let's go...
Apologies for the much later start than intended, due to a few technical issues, as well as Dad's Taxi being booked for a rescue mission😂

Before we look at today's events, here's the link back to Saturday's thread:

At the end of yday's thread, I wrote about what was a probable Russian strike on Kyiv's railway.

Ukraine's Gen Staff doesn't say it was an attack but admits a "detonation of ammunition on a train carrying military cargo"

Accidents happen, but either way it's a clear blow.

Hello on Day 1298 of Russia's full invasion of its sovereign neighbour. So, only 1295 days late in fulfilling the boast of taking Kyiv in 3 days. #EATP for Putin.

I've compiled a🧵every single day without fail.

Friday saw more important visitors arrive in Kyiv (and another familiar place is in Ukraine today).

There was more solidarity and practical support, while Russia suffered more oil woes.

If you missed anything, click and scroll here:

I'll start in Odesa, because that's where the familiar face has turned up.

He was planning to return to Ukraine a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't make it, but now Boris is back.
Loved by nearly all Ukrainians, his early arrival (with Lord Ashcroft) meant he avoids the crowds. Image

Hello once again on Friday 12 September 2025.

Day 1297 of Russia's imperialist war, but the senior bully keeps being given a bloody nose by the junior school kid next door. How embarrassing for the "world's second greatest army" and more 'punches' thrown by Ukraine overnight..
There was so much in yesterday's thread.

Russia hitting churches, Ukraine striking a boat.
The US helping Belarus, which helps🇷🇺 & Trump questioning if the drone attack on Poland was a mistake.
Thursday ended with a Ukraine drone surge into Russia:
It was busy at Kyiv's main railway station this morning with two VIP arrivals making unannounced visits.

Prince Harry accepted a request to return to Ukraine saying "we have to keep (the war) at the forefront of people's minds."

Poland's FM @sikorskiradek hopped off soon after Image

Day 1296 of Russia's genocidal war in Ukraine, welcome to THE daily thread for Thursday 11 Sept.

My thoughts today are with all Americans on the 24th anniversary of a sickening terrorist attack, born of hatred.

It seems we learned little. A cycle of violence has to end.
Some may accuse me of hypocrisy, and that's fine, it's their right in a free world.

My strongest criticism is reserved for leaders who spread lies, try to brainwash and use people instead of helping them.

I don't hate all Russians, though I detest what the country has become.
If ever the U.S. and the free world needed to be unified, it is now, just like we were 24 year ago.

Russia is an existential threat to Ukraine even existing, but also to the way of life of all of us.

Yesterday was momentous, read the thread:
