"I am personally averse to sealed covers. There has to be transparency in court. This is about implementing the orders . What can be the secrecy here?"- CJI
"We want to put an end to the sealed cover business. If Supreme Court follows it, High Courts will also follow", CJI DY Chandrachud tells Attorney General.

CJI asks AG to share the note with Senior Adv Huzefa Ahmadi (who is appearing for the ex-servicemen).

Sr Adv Huzefa Ahmadi (for Gogoi): I was in jail for more than 500 days, then I was discharged by trial court. While I was enlarged, there was no complaint against Gogoi. I am now a sitting MLA...The high court overturned discharge order.

#SupremeCourtofIndia #UAPA
Sr Adv Huzefa Ahmadi (reads HC order): HC overturned discharge order on purported ground of violation of natural justice...The judge ought not to have made observations on merits after reaching this conclusion because it prejudices my case.
