First news of what looks like another attack by #Ukraine partisans in #Melitopol.

The street has been sealed off after another explosion, thought to be an IED. Initial reports say a traitor policeman was injured.

A high number of #Russia's remaining tanks, a very high number of their artillery systems and 660 more soldiers were destroyed in the last 24 hours.

That's according to #Ukraine's official statistics.
The most intense fighting is now around #Avdiivka rather than #Bakhmut.
Britain's daily update concentrates on another area of the frontline, and determines it's mainly a defensive operation from #Russia's invaders.

Telegram channel RIA Melitopol has named who it believes is the policeman hit in today's explosion in the city.
#Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) has released a video showing some of its claimed recent hits.

They say they have destroyed 14 tanks, 4 armoured BMP fighting vehicles, 1 warehouse dump and 2 dugouts with enemy fighters within 5 days on the eastern border.

97 attack UAVs were taken down and 25 more were decoys.

During the night 7% of Russia's drones defeated air defence, according to Ukraine's figures.

Kyiv says there were 64 simulator drones which fell harmlessly - I think is a record, but cannot be sure.

Day 1083 of the war in Europe and the 1083rd of my daily threads.

Three years ago we knew #Ukraine wouldn't go down without a fight. Now, for the first time in over a year there's genuine reason for #Russia to be worried about the outcome.
Plenty to learn and from in Sunday's thread.
In #Russia, ships crashing and exploding, faking capture of a key town in #Ukraine and late at night drones attacking again.

On the other hand, Moscow attacks civilians. Take a look at what you missed:

100% record in air defence overnight, according to #Ukraine.

Of 83 attack drones fired by #Russia, 61 were shot down by #Ukraine with the other 22 decoys.

I did report a fire in #Sumy last night, but that and damage in #Kharkiv #Poltava + #Kirovohrad were from falling debris. Image
