Jeffrey Woodke, an American aid worker held hostage in #Africa for six years, has been freed.
Meanwhile, it is also reported that a French journalist, Olivier Dubois, who was kidnapped by armed groups in the Sahel nearly two years ago, has been released.
“We are grateful for the extraordinary cooperation of the Government of Niger, as well as the sustained efforts of countless organizations and individuals worldwide that resulted in Mr. Woodke’s release,” says Secretary of State Blinken in a statement.
