@CO2Coalition Dipole moments are the change in energy between atoms.
Think of this energy change as a soccer ball w a force towards a specific direction. This “pulls” naturally on atoms when they join together to make molecules.
Its based on the atoms’ electrons.
@CO2Coalition Predicting behavior of molecules can get quite complex and utilizes a lot of math.
But these properties are well-understood in #physics.
Calculating orbitals is a standard part of beginning physics education.
As is the understanding of energy transfer.
@CO2Coalition Another way to visualize an atom’s electron activity is in shell diagrams.
Electrons can be stimulated to spin faster, excite to different “shells” & drop back down to their previous speed in lower #orbitals after releasing the energy.
@CO2Coalition Mythbusters did an episode
about the heat-absorbing effects
of different gases.
As temperatures increase, some gases delay the energy-loss.
With constant energy input,
this causes an increase in total temperature in the gas
(faster electrons).
@CO2Coalition In the atmosphere, as the sun’s rays bounce back towards space in the form of infrared wavelengths, carbon dioxide gas interacts w the energy.
This interaction slows
Earth’s energy-loss.
As the sun’s energy is constant,
we get heat-gain on Earth.
@CO2Coalition This is the ONLY reason life exists on our humble rock. 😃
The perfect temperature?
Where water is in it’s LIQUID form?
Its all thanks to our atmosphere’s unique gas composition (& thanks to the water cycle and the carbon cycle)
@CO2Coalition We can learn
from chemical changes
from the past.
And prevent/mitigate mass extinction events by protecting established cycles from new feedback loops (which break protective self-sustaining chemical reactions)
A baby girl is promised
to a boy,
as property for sex,
when she reaches sexual maturity.
Girl escapes, meets her future owner (unknowingly),
he grabs her arm several times, doesn’t leave her alone til she passively flirts back.
So she realizes stranger danger and refuses to tell him her name and runs home, but not before (in her sheltered naivety) inviting the rapey stranger TO HER HOUSE.
She finds out she is actually PROPERTY & must return to her owners, & cries.
Fairies return her to her abusers to be sex trafficked, while the dads celebrate their grandkid “deal”
PLOT TWIST:
She goes into a coma,
and the only way to “wake” her is to sexually assault her.
If we’re HONEST about momlife,
more women will be ready for it.
I believe
INFORMED CONSENT
is the key to getting the
right job candidates.
Momlife is unpaid labor.
@LMMammita@TheBasedTrinity To be clear:
I am smiling and happy when I’m NOT being elbowed in the gut/insulted/ignored/shushed/scolded for “making the wrong dinner”/screamed at for reminding the kid to brush/etc.
These are newer school-age kid struggles that I WELCOME
compared to the baby trenches! 😂
Right now the current battle we parents are having w a magnet charter school (read: private business)
is mitigation strategy for having no accredited teacher most of 2023.
We were mislead: the “new teacher” was NOT accredited or full time. It was a PT student teaching 3X wk 🧵
This affected the students in different ways. Lack of adult consistency caused the special ed kid to throw tantrums. The advanced students were now in daycare. Subs daily. They watched more pixar movies in school than we watched at home for the duration of 2023.
The HW stopped.
Luckily we found out that a fellow parent is an accredited teacher! So she is now teaching her own kid. A few months is a LONG time to be at daycare instead of school for a kid. If we parents had known, we would have pulled our kids out and put them in a REAL SCHOOL.
@hitman_S1@17AmericanTruth@IntenselyMeRN@SanchezKaela@to_discussion In order for a pregnancy to be viable, a lot of cards have to fall into place.
The egg and sperm must be functional w a chemical reaction strong enough to get positive feedbacks from other chemical reactions in the system. Genes must be compatible. Abortion keeps genes strong…
@hitman_S1@17AmericanTruth@IntenselyMeRN@SanchezKaela@to_discussion Even in young women,
abortion must happen naturally for good strong babies.
If women gestated every pregnancy, the gene pool would get weaker.
The old estimate used to be around 30% of pregnancy, which is why women are advised NOT to share pregnancy news til the second tri…
Was reminded today of a hospital birth I was lucky enough to attend. My friend was on her back during an unexpected muscle contraction while requesting to speak to a nurse who had turned up her pitocin on the IV without consent. 🧵
The nurse ignored her partners requests to turn the pitocin down (very painful meds that speed contractions), and changed the subject, picking up my friend’s forearm instead.
“What lovely tattoos” she strokes my friends arm w her manicured nails.
My friend was immediately upset
At that moment, an unnecessarily intense contraction squeezed the breath out of my friend, and she uttered “Oh my God” to which the nurse put both her hands on my friends upper arm and said
“He is with you now”
The partner IMMEDIATELY gave the ‘get this bitch out of here’ sign
Had a dream there was a gas leak. Woke up to the smell of methane.
But immediately thought,
“I don’t hear the alarm…”
(Thinking of the carbon monoxide alarm in the living room😬)
I investigate.
Housemate had gas burner on high for 40 minutes cooking artichokes at 12:30am
Nobody was in the kitchen.
Timer had 9 minutes left.
I checked the water level,
they were boiling
off less than a cm.
Def would have burned if they waited for the timer.
But am proud they used a timer.
(I need an induction stovetop)
They heard a person
walk around and
came into the kitchen
right when I was there
in front of their artichokes.
I had to explain.
I considered suggesting
the pressure cooker
(shorter cooking time, lower gas time, cheaper, more effective)
but I didn’t.
