@LMMammita @TheBasedTrinity Gurl, I’m making the best of an unexpectedly bad situation 😂

If we’re HONEST about momlife,
more women will be ready for it.

I believe
INFORMED CONSENT
is the key to getting the
right job candidates.
Momlife is unpaid labor.
@LMMammita @TheBasedTrinity To be clear:
I am smiling and happy when I’m NOT being elbowed in the gut/insulted/ignored/shushed/scolded for “making the wrong dinner”/screamed at for reminding the kid to brush/etc.

These are newer school-age kid struggles that I WELCOME
compared to the baby trenches! 😂
@LMMammita @TheBasedTrinity But I’m NEVER
doing the baby trenches again
bc fool me once,
shame on you.

I was VERY angry at society for pressuring me into a lifestyle
that I absolutely hated.
And the #momlife claims
were all false pretenses.

I was mislead.

I was speaking to one of my teenage daughters the other day who was telling me about a conflict she was having with her step mom. It comes to naturally to resist, to defend, decry and protest.
It’s times like that I have to set aside my “mama bear” instincts and put my kids well being first. I suggested my daughter respond to the conflict with kindness and generosity (I would help her with the latter).
I think it is a little funny we were having that conversation so close to #PalmSunday . People thought Jesus was going to strong arm His kingdom come - but that isn’t how God works. Those who live by the sword, die by the sword.

@Gialde @SiryjVovk @goblin_skreech @girlgeek_rva @resist_cynicism @jdgtranen There were no forced vaccines.
And also have you seen a needle four inches in diameter? I haven’t.
The forced movement of a 4 inch circle of your molecules is called physical trauma, and must be consensual or its assault. #ForcedBirth
Do you have any
questions about vaccines?
@Gialde @SiryjVovk @goblin_skreech @girlgeek_rva @resist_cynicism @jdgtranen The reason I keep bringing up the physical process of birth, is bc moving 4 square in. of your body out of the way, can kill you.
It causes permanent disability, long term healthcare costs, long healing periods away from work or family care issues. Can’t chase suicidal kids, etc
@Gialde @SiryjVovk @goblin_skreech @girlgeek_rva @resist_cynicism @jdgtranen Have you ever had major surgery?
Afterwards you are not allowed to get out of bed or you could pop stitches and die of internal bleeding. They tell you to hold still as much as possible.
Now add on a baby that needs liquid feces cleaned out of his hair. How do you do that still?

@Pro_life_AAA @pixelprotectors @MrParan01d @RedJillyBean8 @AnneGup07508961 @Kathleen1983_ @nathaliejacoby1 @TwitterSafety I’m MORE interested in how
your ‘no rulers’ philosophy
fits into #BigGovernment
forcing birth on people🤔
@Pro_life_AAA @pixelprotectors @MrParan01d @RedJillyBean8 @AnneGup07508961 @Kathleen1983_ @nathaliejacoby1 @TwitterSafety But if you’re genuinely curious, my body hasn’t been the same since giving life to my daughter. She was facing sunny side up, which is doula-speak for spine to spine. Back labor. It wasn’t painful, but I no longer feel the urge to pee. There was nerve damage. I still feel ‘kicks’

@albertaparent @PipSyyyv @Kaelwritesblog @mollyfleck @clhubes Actually thats true.

The brain can be convinced that voices are happening when they’re not, amputated limbs are present, physical impossibilities are real, and its all because of two trainable parts of our wiring: The subconscious and the logical processing center. 🧵
#Painless
@albertaparent @PipSyyyv @Kaelwritesblog @mollyfleck @clhubes Some people need help w physical processes for birth and thats okay and good and normal and I’m thankful for #Science and the #medicalcommunity which makes assistance and even accessibility better for everybody.
All birth stories are good.
You can not fuck up birth…
@albertaparent @PipSyyyv @Kaelwritesblog @mollyfleck @clhubes There ARE things we can do to prepare for the physical, mental, and environmental challenges that will be unexpected, change very quickly, and involve a complete loss of control which you just kinda have to TRUST won’t kill you. Birth is like falling asleep w trust you won’t die.

Natural (unmedicated) #birth
feels like weighted squats
at the gym for 12 hours.
#PainlessBirth
Its exhausting and drones on and its uncomfortable, and you’re hungry and thirsty. Its a marathon. But u don’t feel pain until the next day.
#neuroscience
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…
I was able to achieve this maybe for a couple reasons:
Before #pregnancy I was fit AF.
Exercise was not painful.

At all.

Exercise changes pain reception.
Athletes feel LESS PAIN.
And the uterus is
just a GIANT muscle
which needs extra oxygen.
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30379385/
IF YOU FAIL TO BREATHE
while exercising,
YOUR MUSCLES HURT.
This isn’t bc exercise hurts.
Its bc lactic acid builds up around your tissues and without excreting muscle cell wastes,
the body feels pain.

I have a hypothesis,
and I need help.

Thread about #painless #birth

Did you have painless contractions?
Tell me your #birthstory

I think this topic might trigger some in particular, bc of the #religious belief that #WomenMustSuffer

#christian cultural training:
In their origin story,
the women was the reason #EveAndAdam were damned. Because of Eve’s failure,
they believe
#childbirth must hurt.
Just SUGGESTING
#Childbirth was never expected to hurt, can trigger many people who had bad experiences.

Every birth is both physical
AND psychological.
Christians tend to have painful births bc they are TERRIFIED.

The curse of Eve
works on believers.

Related: wondering what, exactly, my stepson @TheDannyNewton had in mind when he zip tied two taped-together rare earth magnets* to the rotting toilet flapper. Also, how long have those been in there... 🤣

First guess: trap the chunks of rust floating in the tank?

Almost every day for the last month or so, I've pumped at work. Not in the basement pump room that's like a 10 minute walk to get to, or hiding out in the bathroom armchair, but AT WORK. In lab. On my microscope. At my desk. Around other humans. This is a #momlife thread 1/
I've pumped while taking care of fruit flies. While doing microdissections. While standing in the sandwich line at the cafeteria. Walking down the hallway. In the elevator. Walking home. ON THE EFFING SUBWAY. I even pumped in class a couple of times 2/
This is because @Freemie finally brought pumping into the twenty - first century with the #freemieliberty. There's a wearable technology for every sport under the sun, and now, finally, for pumping too. 3/

So...anyone know who just left me the lovely gift of a rusty, running car speared into my mini?
My first thought: I was actually getting a full night sleep tonight (instead of the 3-5 hours I had all week) and now it's ruined.... #momlife
My second thought, just now: It's been an hour, when will @SFPD show up so I can get this running rustbucket towed out of my driveway and go back to bed?!?
