Śrāddha karya's are rituals that are performed for the departed ancestors. This is usually done twice a year and tarpana on every amāvāsyā. As the current generation keeps moving away from sampradaya this information is the need of the hour. #AskPanditKatti
sāṃvatsara śrāddha is the annual ritual that is performed for the departed ancestors. Another period of śrāddha is during Pitru Paksha. While sāṃvatsara śrāddha is done for a specific ancestor (father, mother, etc), the Pitru Paksha is done for all elders who have passed away.
There are many teachings as to why śrāddha is required. Manusmriti teaches that one year on earth equals one day of the pirtris. Pinda Dana is done which is nourishment for the pitris. #AskPanditKatti
Yet another teaching is that the onward journey of the ancestors has stopped due to the lack of spiritual energy of the pitris (ancestors). Garuda Purana talks of the river Vaitarini that needs to be crossed to enter the southern gate of Yama. #AskPanditKatti
When the Śrāddha rituals are stopped, the family goes through many hardships. I will list only a few. 1. The family goes through consistent problems one after the other. 2. Birth of children is delayed. 3. Children of the family see ill health and/or fall into bad company
4. Fortunes of the family go down while debts increase. 5. No matter how good one plans, sudden unexpected obstacles (Badhaka activation) starts. 5. Sarpas or snakes are seen or dreamt about 6. Crows visit or attack you without any provocation #AskPanditKatti
Sadly, there is a myth that once Śrāddha has been performed in Gaya, each year ritual is not needed. This is a misrepresentation of the shastra. The Śrāddha must be done every year. #AskPanditKatti
An important teaching is that the Śrāddha must include pinda dana. Tarpana on the samvatsara only is like you surviving only on water for the duration of the entire year. #AskPanditKatti
In conclusion, this topic is very vast, and social media does not do justice. Please contact your Sampradaya priest for more information. #AskPanditKatti

First the issue of Lordships. Some prefer #Aquaruis and #Scorpio as the sign lordships for Rahu and Ketu. All the Rasi's have lordships based on physical grahas. So the question is - Can nodes who aren't physical, but only mathematical points be lords? #AskPanditKatti
Rahu in #Aquarius and Ketu in #Scorpio are better placed due to their matching tatwas with the rasi lordships. The famous dictum does mention this -
Shanivat Rahu & Kujavat Ketu. There are more secrets. Stay tuned. Sri Raama #AskPanditKatti
Upachaya houses are 3,6 and 11th bhavas. These bhavas fuel growth. The specific path chosen for growth depend on the planets placed in the Upachaya houses. #Growth#Astrology#Jyotish#VedicAstrology#JyotishKatti
Slow 🧵
Rahu exalts in the natural 3rd, has Moolatrikona in the natural 6th and co-lords the natural 11th. Rahu being a bhoga graha powers growth at all cost. Growth fueled by "I, me and Myself". End Justifies means. #ASTRO#astrology#VedicAstrology#Jyotish#JyotishKatti
Rahu in the 3rd. Exalted (Happy Rahu) aspects the 9th of Dharma!!!! Such a happy Rahu has a 9th house (Dharma) on your Labha (Profits). The 5th of Mantra I will probably explain later. Rahu, the dark deamon in the 3rd has a influence on your Dharma and Profits. This is BAD! +
The mind/mana is denoted by the Moon. The inherent nature of the Mind is to desire and needs an anchor for guidance for fulfillment. The planets that give Gati or direction to the mana are the ones in 2/12 and/or/ planet(s) conjoining and/or Kendras to it (Moon). #JyotishKatti
The absence of ALL the above can denote a mind that has no fixed desire. Is this good? For spirituality, this can be a plus. However, for mundane matters, this can be a -ve. This is called Kemadruma Yoga. Is there any remedy for this?
Before I get to the remedy we need to take a deep dive. What is this all about? It is for a very important reason, that the maharishis have given importance to Chandra Lagna. The chart viewed from Moon as Lagna shows our emotional makeup. The quality of various responses.
A #Thread dedicated to all the mothers of the universe. Please RT forward.
The highest Rina (Debt) is the one we owe to our mother. The mother is the provider of nourishment, both physical and emotional. Have you ever wondered what the mother gives up/undergoes? 1/n
The mother gives up her youth to give birth which changes her physically, emotionally, and physiologically. The body goes through immense changes permanently. The mother never demands anyone in the family to acknowledge all this. She just gives till she passes away
2/n
The mother is the Moon and gets exalted in the natural 2nd house of feeding. This is the happiest state of the mother. The moon owns the natural 4th of domestic peace and harmony. 3/n
PanchaKa is a powerful tool to find out if an activity initiated on a particular day and time would be successful or end in failure. The steps involved are very easy.
Slow #Thread #JyotishKatti
Add the numbers.. Example.
1. Tithi - Sukla Pratipad = 1
2. Vara - Sunday =1
3. Nakshatra - Ashwini = 1
4. Lagna - Mesha = 1
Expunge multiples of 9 #jyotishkatti
cc - @mmpandit
If the balance is 1,2,4,6 or 8, then bad results would follow.
1 indicates Mrithyu Panchaka (Danger)
2 indicates Agni Panchaka (Fire, fight)
4 indicates Raja Panchaka (Danger due to loss of position
6 indicates Chora panchaka (Theft,loss)
8 Roga panchaka (Disease)
TBC.
#Navamsa is a world of knowledge in itself. Navamsa is also called Baghya-Amsa and Dharma-Asma. The dharma bhava is the 9th and the fruits of dharma is the 11th from it. This is the 7th. No wonder elders have taught that blessing of the spouse accelerates #Spirituality.
The troubles in marriage life is one of the harshest experiences in owns life, The trouble pointers are the 6th, 8th, and 12th FROM the 7th house (In navamsa). #jyotishkatti#marriage#love
The 6th house from D9 lagna will be the 12th from the 7th. This shows the spouse rejections ans losses. This indicates what the spouse is rejecting.
